          WAT?

Telling us that you're having problems posting the picture is not going to help us. Telling us what your problem is, how big the picture is, the size of the picture, and the type of picture (JPG, PNG, etc..) will help us help you!

          1. Make sure the PSU will be able to handle both loads.
          2. Splice in another connector onto the 12v cable.
          3. Enjoy.

Just get a 12v monitor power adapter, there's loads of them on the internet:

            http://www.amazon.com/s/?_encoding=U...ch-alias%3Daps

Just get one with a good rating, the monitor will use little power anyway.

You would be able to connect wires to your laptop charger and feed the monitor with power from the laptop charger, but that will mess up the charging of your battery.

If the battery is somewhat discharged, the laptop adapter has just enough power to charge the battery and keep the laptop running, it doesn't have enough extra juice to also power the monitor.

Ok, you know, you have 169 posts here. You should know by now there's an edit button.
Edit your posts and add some text at the end instead of posting several times.

As for the image problem, just pay attention to the instructions in the upload form:

This image you posted worked because it's 3000 by 2250 something, and below 4.77 MB.

                    Now back to your problem.
I wrongly assumed that Lenovo is a laptop, I apologize. It's actually a PC.

You're incorrectly focusing on the motherboard connector of the power supply to get 12v from there for your laptop.

This is not usually a good idea, it's much easier to just use one of the connectors for hard disks/dvd drives or PCI Express to get 12v from there.

If you don't have any spare connectors available, get one of these cables :

                    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812119008

One jack goes into the original connector of the power supply, one goes into the dvd drive, one jack you can cut to get access to the 12v wire (the yellow one) and the ground wire (the black wire).

Black wire goes to Ground or - of the monitor connector, yellow goes to +.

Resize or crop the damn pictures, that's how you can correct that. Make sure width or height or both are below 3000 pixels. But there's really no need for more than 2000 pixels, make them less than 2000 if you can.

You don't need a new power supply. You have one or several hard drive power connectors in the system already, spend 2-3$ for this splitter and

                        * pull power connector from existing hard drive or dvd drive (preferably dvd drive, see footnote)
                        * put the connector in the splitter in the female connector
                        * put one of the male connectors in the splitter in the dvd drive (or hdd)
                        * cut the yellow and one of the black wires from the other connector and tie two wires that go to your monitor.

It can't be simpler than that.

                        * some hard drives are sensitive to something pulling power suddenly from the same connector, so the monitor may affect the hard drive if you put the splitter with the hard drive. CD/DVD drives are used less often and aren't that sensitive.

                            Fine.

You have that cable from the power supply to the processor, two black wires and two yellow wires.

One black wire is ground, one yellow wire is 12v.

Just strip a bit of insulation from those wires, attach two wires and then use some insulated tape to insulate the parts you stripped off.

No, I mean the four wire connector going near the processor in the middle of the board.

But it's the same thing. It doesn't matter.

It's nothing special. It's just a regular motherboard with the cables of the computer power supply slightly in a different layout than the normal.

Any yellow color cable should be 12v so you can use any cable that's yellow.

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

                                      Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...

                                      Hi Everyone

Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.
                                      https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...lashing-on-off

The monitor is HP 27es LED Monitor

The monitor will randomly blackout and display no signal and will recover again.
Sometimes need to power and off again to restore the display but...

LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.

                                      Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

Wise Wing F199 19'' LCD monitor - recapped

Looking through my repair pictures and notes, it's been a long time since I posted anything in the LCD monitors section. So here goes that.

I'm dedicating this thread to one of the very first LCD monitors I repaired (if not the first one), which was more than 10 years ago now. The monitor is a Wise Wing, model F199. It's a 19” CFL-backlit LCD. I got it for free off of Craigslist in 2009 from a guy, who said he bought it for cheap from Wallmart and the monitor worked only for a little less than 2 years before quitting.

When I saw the Craigslist post, I wasn't...
