    adding power voltage to microphone

I have a computer mic rated at 1.0 to 10 VDC. I want to use it in an RCA application. I was hoping for some suggestion in addition to my plan to stick a 9 V battery (alkaline) in the positive path and a loop if I need the audio signal to remain constant. DONT LAUGH I AM ADAMANT.

See http://www.epanorama.net/links/pc_so...ml#interfacing for the plug wiring. 0V is the Common (-ve or GND) terminal.
Since you mentioned that the microphone runs from 1 to 10V, a 9V battery can be connected directly to it (with a switch to save the battery when you're not using it).
Battery -ve to GND (3 - Shield)
Battery +ve to Ring (2) via a switch
RCA shield to GND (3 - Shield)
RCA centre conductor to Tip (1)
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
