Hey all,
I have an OCZ Powerstream 600W (OCZGSX600) that has been faithful to me for many years but recently has failed. I cracked it open to find it full of Capxon caps with one noticeably bulged leaking top. I ran to Radioshack (
) to grab a similar cap and swapped it out with no help, then discovered another nicely hidden cap that has also blown. I've decided to recap the whole PSU with some quality caps
Here is an inventory of what's on the PSU
Capxon Caps
(1) 420uF 420V LP 85C
(2) 2200uF 6.3v KF 105C (Labeled C710)
(5) 1000uF 16v A3C1 105C
(1) 47uF 25v
One oddball OST Capacitor
(1) 2200uF 16v
I can't seem to find many 420uF caps so I'm going to swap it for a 470uF 105C similarly sized. My big question is could someone recommend me a quality brand/series to replace these with?
