I'm unsure of the code written into the software, be it a counter of installs or hardware detection but I can tell you that after a phone call I have never been denied. Your email addy and personal info are moot. You were given this machine with a valid license key which is meant to be attached to the machine.
At one time you would call and get a human but the last two times I was connected to a bot that gave me a new key to type in and was good to go. When doing this you will not have the MS police knocking at your door and to say the least even if there were such a thing, you're legal.

The only issue I see that may be a problem, or not, would be a bios password. If you need to change the boot order you must be able to enter the bios.
Thanks WoodButcher; i appreciate your interest on my issue,
Ok i was able to get in the Bios set up after doing the battery and jumper trick and send some pics of where i'm at;i get to enter Bios set up now by pressing F2 if i press f1 it won't boot up to windows i can see the window logo for a second but it goes back Pic on attachment CSC01566,
is there anything that you want me to try to change on the Bios set up that will make it reboot.I think it has to do with tempering with the security set up, thanks in advance.

The bios has no password set, leave that security page alone. It looks like you should be able to o a clean install if that is what you want.
Your first pic with the error, data integrity check failure, I'm guessing that is either corrupted data on the hard drive or a hard drive failure.
On the devices page I see the HD set in AHCI, thats odd for a mechanical hard drive. Was it upgraded to a SSD?

In any case I wouldn't hesitate to try the link I sent to you but first I would look to see if there is a "restore partition" on the drive as someone mentioned. Because XP was installed I'll bet they wiped the drive.
Contact the folks at lenovo customer support. I know they sell the discs you need if you can't do it any other way.

Thanks WoodButcher for being so patent with me. i really appreciate it, I'm not much savvy on PC software i do what i can for a person with 4 years in Portuguese primary school, all i know i learned the hard way by googling and text talking with people like you that want to help,
now i went to that site you gave me i did download to a DVD
windows 7 -64 ISO i put it in the lenovo drive and powered it up and it doesn't even see it, but for what i red it seems to me you need the Administrator password to get in and then you can do it from inside windows, i may be mistaken,I'm not American I'm Portuguese and sometimes have difficulties to make sense of things, hope you understand.
it has just one Partition, it just won't boot up anymore, the other day i was able to take it to WinXP logo by changing stuff in the Bios set up but i forgot how i did it,but it's useless any way cause no password,
i guess the only solution and even that I'm not sure! is to get windows XP/Win7 install CD,there are a few Cheap offers on line but I'm afraid to get riped off,as they the cheapo gets expensive sometimes, they give you info but is very confusing,do have any link for a WinXP that is trustworthy? is any advice would be appreciated

Ha; you sad if it was it upgraded to a SSD? i have no clue of this?

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply

OK, that disc you burned should be your new copy of win7, it is no longer an ISO but bootable media. If you can get the bios to boot from cd/dvd you'll be set.

In the startup menu of the bios you need to switch this on, I don't know if it will be under "primary boot sequence" (should be)
"automatic boot sequence" (probably need to disable this)
"or error boot sequence" but once you get it swiched hit F10 to save and exit the bios. When you reboot it should open win7 install from the disc.

LOL, neither am I, but I have toasted a few PC in my time!

What little I know has come the same way as you, get a problem,,, google it and ask for help. As for the school, you've got one up on me, "primary school" as you call it there I'm guessing we would call college,,, I didn't make it through grade school,,, and your bi-lingual at least. Don't sell yourself short!

Hi; WoodButcher i tried this free program, link bellow, i boot from the Cd follow instructions like it shows in the Youtube video, and did not work for me,
It say something like this (Can't find Sam Files)
i think this one has extra encryption, no wonder why i have to hit keyboard keys - CTRL-ALT-DELETE -before NAME and PASSWORD,I've never seen this way ,normally we do it to shutdown the PC.

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply

I put portuguese commentaries at the end.

It has not extra encryption, just the partitions with different names.

If you put the dvd you created in your other , working machine, what does it show in it? A bunch of files and folders, or the name of your iso file ?

Change the order in the Primary Boot Sequence so that the cd-rom is listed as the first one. Then, try to boot to your dvd.

If you want to avoid license problems, use windows 7. No need to risk having difficulties for finding hardware drivers.

Thanks RogFanther if you talking about ophracrack -SLAX;i opened it and there are a few folders and files in it, Isolinuxcfg is there too,
i can boot the cd and it runs data on black screen til a certain point where it
stops and say (FATAL ERROR OCURRED-DATA FOR LIVE CD NOT FOUND,
and then it asks if ,ARE YOU USING UNSUPPORTED SCSI?

And with the other program that i took the video from YouTube isoLinux it runs good per instructions but it wont reset the password it shows all the users passwords encrypted or locked and it says also

                      CANNOT FIND VALUE C/SAM/DOMAINS/ACOUNT/USERS/NAMES

I did change the drive, put in primary drive DVD drive,i can easily boot from these two soft wares.

ha; don't bother to write in Portuguese cause i understand better in english about the words as software and hardware as concern, cause i learned in english and I'm not familiar with Portuguese terms,i appreciate your effort though,my problem most the times is the understanding of the software and how to work with it in the PC ,not that i don't understand english,i know i,m not a good english writer so nor Portuguese for that matter,i do what i can with the skills i acquired.

hmm, well, put the dvd disk in a good, working computer .Wait a little to see if it shows an "Autorun" menu.

If nothing appears, open My Computer, then see in the drive letter corresponding to the dvd-rom if it shows a name, or just "DVD-RO)M Drive".
In windows explorer, click in the drive leter in the left pane to see it if shows the files in the right pane.

Maybe this thread should be moved to the computer forum.

Well, you didn´t burn the image to the disk. You burnt the file of the image (ISO file ) to the disk, as a file.

Look in your cd burner software for an option like "Burn Image" or something like that. If you made the linux discs and they are bootable, you should have done the same for burning the windows disc. Retrace your steps and see what was made in a different way.

Do you mean download the WIN7ISO again from the website and burn it to another DVD? since this one is not DVDWR is DVD DL-R,

Why dual layer? How big is the ISO ? My win7 disc is a normal disc, 4.7GB. As long as it fits the image size, the kind of disc should not matter. I normally burn to a cdrw - dvdrw when testing integrating service packs, hotfixes and the like.

If you burn it the wrong way, it doesn´t matter how many times you download it. What I mean is you must burn the iso the same way you burnt the iso of the linux tool ( you burn it to a cd or dvd, didn´t you ? ).

If you are having trouble burning the iso, find a program called IsoBuster. It will be easier to burn the image to the disk in the correct way with it.

In that screen there should be an option called "More Options" or maybe "Advanced" or something like that. Delete all partitions / boot records, then try again letting windows decide how topartition the disk.

Also, you can take a look in bios to see if there is some optino for disabling EFI.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

The sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...

                                            Hello Everybody,

Trying to repair a power supply from a Russound CA4 Multizone Controller (picture attached)

Russound no longer supports it but were kind enough to provide a schematic of the power supply (pdf attached).

The outputs marked 12v and 20v are all measuring only 1v.

The board is clicking, which I think means it is in something called hiccup mode when the flyback transformers switches because of an internal problem or something else on the board Overloading it.

The capacitors physically look clean (no bludgesor leaks) and...
