The page it is found on w/ more crimps and extractors. If you need to purchase from them Performance PC's is an ok bunch. I've done business with them for many moons....

Re: Where to put the white wire?
Look careful at the solder on the loose white wire, it can help you determine where it belongs. If it has broken solder look for it's mate. I'll bet you'll find what looks like a dent or knife mark on the side of it not to far from the end. That switch or circut breaker most likely has a "stab" a hole on it's side that has a brass blade on the inside angled inward to catch and make contact similar to what you find on many switches and outlets in your home. They should be outlawed.

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply
If it gets windows updates from MS it has been done, if not in 30 days or so you'll be locked out again. MS has tech support I believe, email or IM.
When it said it was invalid did it give you a phone number. I've had to call in more than once when reformatting OEM machines.

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply
Rogan, thanks for picking up, I'm getting married again on sunday so I've been a little busy,,,,
Ivtec, I see your on anand, Frank Ramiro? you'll get it running yet.
The drivers you'll find on lenovos site, business class if I recall but it was your PC. The newegg page has a link to that machines support page, look on the eggs "details" tab. Download the drivers on your connected PC to a flash drive and install from that. Check in the "Device Manager" (right click on computer in the start menu, click manage...

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply
OK, that disc you burned should be your new copy of win7, it is no longer an ISO but bootable media. If you can get the bios to boot from cd/dvd you'll be set.
In the startup menu of the bios you need to switch this on, I don't know if it will be under "primary boot sequence" (should be)
"automatic boot sequence" (probably need to disable this)
"or error boot sequence" but once you get it swiched hit F10 to save and exit the bios. When you reboot it should open win7 install from...

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply
The bios has no password set, leave that security page alone. It looks like you should be able to o a clean install if that is what you want.
Your first pic with the error, data integrity check failure, I'm guessing that is either corrupted data on the hard drive or a hard drive failure.
On the devices page I see the HD set in AHCI, thats odd for a mechanical hard drive. Was it upgraded to a SSD?
In any case I wouldn't hesitate to try the link I sent to you but first I would look to see if there is a "restore...

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply
If you can get the passwords cracked that's great as it will insure you have all the drivers for your hardware but to re-install windows is no biggie. You have a legal key, I have many times needed to call Microsoft because of registration key failures. I'm unsure of the code written into the software, be it a counter of installs or hardware detection but I can tell you that after a phone call I have never been denied. Your email addy and personal info are moot. You were given this machine with a valid license key which...

Re: Need help on this lenovon Power supply
As tom said, delete that image you posted. You got it, the product key, win 7 pro 64 is the download you want.
As rogfan said download and burn to a DVD, (double layer DVD, I read somewhere) pop it in your machine and reboot. Win 7 should be able to recognize all your hardware but just in case after the reinstall I'd go to the device manager and check.
I have not had to use this yet so I really can't give you step by step. I'm absolutely certain the info is good as Jack would have taken it down pronto if it were bogus....

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hey folks!
My name is Bruce and as my handle implies I'm a carpenter by trade. I'm at the half century mark and at the point in life where rust is a problem, mind and body, if it isn't used it rusts....
To avoid rusting away I've found hobbies are a wonderful lubricant. I have always been interested in electronics in different forms from building a mechanical strobe light as a youth to modding PCs today. I can assemble, cool (water) and overclock my PC as most is all plug and play but I have very little knowledge...
