Don't even resurrect this trhread, lsot auction bout this PSU today, could get if for 15 bucks or so. After repair supposedly, but who cares

Testing ATX PSUs under load - Does loading the ATX 24 pin also load EPS & PCIE?
      by AJ847.63e
      Hi Folks,

Just wanted to clear up a misunderstanding of mine (or what I expect is one). Isn't the 12V rail from the 24 pin, EPS and PCIE separated? IE if I put a power resistor on the ATX 12V pin that is not going to load, thus tell me if the EPS or PCIE rails are fine?

I was recently watching ArIs from Hardware Busters video on how to properly test ATX PSUs without using 5 figure Croma substations.

The PCB adapter he used breaks out the 12, 5 and 3.3V pins from the 24 pin and gives you banana plugs to connect to. That is a bit useless is it not? Aren't...

Enermax Liberty ECO 400W [ELT400AWT] - from scraped to serviced
      by momaka
Remember this pile of junk electronics I got last year? Well, that's where this Enermax Liberty ECO 400 Watt PSU came from. Like I mentioned, it had cut cables and many bulged caps on the DC output side. I stripped a few cables and did a quick temporary recap with whatever junk (but still reading OK) caps I could find, then performed a basic power test – the PSU passed. Thus, I knew I'd eventually go around to repairing it. One year later and we're here.

First shown is the label below, so anyone reading can see what PSU we're dealing with here.

      Enermax Tomahawk ETK450AWT PSU Repair
      by eigma
A few weeks ago my computer power supply (Enermax Tomahawk ETK450AWT) stopped working. Of course this led me down a reverse engineering and circuit debugging rabbit hole ;-) I also learned about capacitor Equivalent series resistance along the way, and wrote an article about it all. Here are some sneak peeks:

Enermax Platimax EPM1500EGT random turn on
      by LeKowalsky
      Hi,

I'm novice in smps repairs and lurker here also in addition to my preparation I have read Jestine Yong's Troubleshooting & Repairing Switch Mode Power Supplies many times and I cautiously proceeded in small steps a time.

      What's on the table?

      Enermax Platimax 1500W (EPM1500EGT)

      Symptom

A fault is a little tricky here. When plugged into the wall for a first time (i.e. after proper discharge) PSU starts on power button (PS_ON) as expected, runs smoothly with all the voltages in tolerance also shows quite stable operation...

Modding Two PSUs to Output 12V
      by RukyCon
Hello again, this might be a bit of a far-fetched question, but is it possible to modify a 36v and a 48v power supplies to output 12v? Both power supplies appear to use the same topology, they both also have a dedicated 12v winding wired to the control chips, meaning that as soon as i change it so the main output is 12v, then the dedicated windings will not be able to output 12v, meaning it will not start up. However, if i were to then take the main output and tie it to where the dedicated 12v output would go, then it should be able to run fine?

Anyway here is a quick overview of...
