I opened up an AT PSU today. I could tell from the label that this puzzle wouldn't be easy to solve. I didn't know the worst of it.
Here is the inside of the supply. Note the "DANGER High Voltage" sticker on the transformer and the "Yen" design of the heatsinks. Also note the caps. Oh, the caps.
With the exception of a DON or two, all of them are marked as Rubycons. Yep, the big cans with the Y vents? Rubycon. The weird 90* vent on the output? Rubycon. The light blue one by the out-wiring that actually has a K vent (that you can't see)? Yep, Rubycon. (The DON is light blue, too.)
So I ask, what the heck is this?!
