    Great PSU OEM's list

I will do myself a little advertisement if you don't mind guys You may even wanna make it sticky

After some time, I continued with my Great OSU OEMs list. It is now most likely the greatest list of all and I will continue prolounging it. As you can see, there are individual models, not only series. Also I am linking good review sites, or at least something what could be considered as review (they actually stress the PSU on 100 % load, measure ripple, open it and take pictures etc).

It is in czech, but I guess that you will understand it anyway, there are no texts or anything.

    Here it comes: http://www.hw-world.7u.cz/index.php/clanky/1-prehled-skutecnych-vyrobcu-zdroju-ruznych-znacek

If you have some PSU's which are not there and know their actuall OEM, please feel free to make a post about it.

Added fresh CoolerMaster's GX Lite units. Their OEM seems to be ATNG Power. If you will see some good review, please let me know to add link.

While you're at it, you could add another review to the Extreme power plus 460W (http://hardwareinsights.com/wp/coole...3-460w-review/), done by yours truly.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

          Re: Great PSU OEM's list

Well first of all, to be useful to anyone, you would first have to get rid of that layout...

Make a nice chart with sorting features at the top... filter column (i want to type "ant" and press enter or auto update to see the table below refresh with just Antec psu listed etc

Put the UL number somewhere.. it's important. You can find it on newegg in pretty much all the pictures with the labels... I know sometimes I just search for the UL number and get the oem straight from that

For example I may not find a review for this Athena Power psu : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817338008

But I can see in the picture e210743 on the label, so I can go on UL's database search page here http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/t.../gfilenbr.html and enter the code there and I get that the psu is made by MAX POWER INTERNATIONAL.

Now this doesn't tell me much, but I can just go to see the other products this company certified so for example I can see it certified a psu with the codename KY-450ATX... and i can run a google search for it https://www.google.com/search?q=KY-450ATX and see the same model is sold by WinSys, Raidmax, Sum Vision so I can determine it's pretty much crap

Both HardwareSecrets and jonnyguru have ul lists :

          http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/370
          http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...ory&ndar_id=24

Tom's hardware also did some good articles about it :

          http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...urer,2913.html
          http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...-oem,2729.html
          http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...er,2913-3.html

Add some hints about who may make the power supply based on design .. for example if you see through the grid of the psu dark green sticker with black text, then chances are that psu is a CWT ... if you see on the main transformer a code that starts with FSP, then it's a FSP oem design...

Delta and FSP also like to use their own branded pfc controllers and other chips... sometimes these can be seen through the fan.

And sorry, but if you want your pages to be found by a worldwide audience and found by people that enter stuff in google, you should use English. You may love your language, I understand it, but the diacritics and punctuation signs doesn't help you.

c_hegge : somewhat unrelated ... but the plastic sheet is not there just to prevent the air from going straight out the back... it's to change the air pressure and force more air on the end of the psu and then throw it out. Without it, there can be pockets of air formed inside which won't move out. And the fan grill is not necessarily better than the other designs, it's just among the best that can be used without sacrificing EMI shielding. You can punch larger holes and get more air but then you lose the "faraday cage effect".

Does this mean that high speed fans (whether at full speed or thermally controlled) do not necessarily reach their specs better with the wired grille as opposed to the punched out variants usually seen?

I don't mean to "rain on your parade", but i've found this list / site a while ago, and it sometimes came in pretty handy

                Re: Great PSU OEM's list

I am sourcing from it for some time now, but as you can see, there is not everything all the time…there are no links between the PSU's, and it is not in czech :-D And I have the feeling I have seen a few mistakes in there.

It's simple table, what else do you want In time, more or less every PSU which can be find 1000 km arround Europe will be there. The others, not really any reason for that. I guess I will never see Athena in my life
