capacitor for carrier electronic air filter

I have an old carrier electronic air filter # 31MP514110.
It stopped working and found a broken part (looks like capacitor in the power
    supply part # TRW84840RB-4 30M15%)
Unfortunately nobody can identity this capacitor / part properly and digi-key
    doesn't list this part

looks like a resistor to me.30 meg maybe?
lift one end and see if it measures ok.

Hard to say. It would help to have a picture of what its connected to... then perhaps one of us could guess what the appropriate replacement part would be based upon its application.

Re: capacitor for carrier electronic air filter

The blue thing is a high voltage resistor. If you carefully remove the crud on the remaining pieces, there may be a value. Most likely it will just be a Carrier part number. That resistor is critical to limiting the corona current in the air cleaner. I would also replace that capacitor just because of the age, since the value (change in value) will affect the high voltage output of the supply. These things are tough to fix without the right parts. Be careful of the h.v.
        Is it plugged in?

Clean the dust off the writing side. Agree its a resistor. What I can see with tweaking in Paint Shop agrees with kc8adu.

          ???.. TRW 8440 RB-4
          ???.. 30M 15%

The typical failure is the big cap.

          part reads : TRW84840RB-4 30M15%"

Pioneer VXS-D902S Reciever - Filter Capacitor Question
            by grimacelord
            Hello,

I have a Pioneer VSX-D902S receiver that I am trying to replace the 2 large 8200uF 80V filter capacitors on.

I have already removed the capacitors and ordered replacements, but I made a mistake in ordering. The original capacitors are Pioneer ACH1202 80v 8200uF and have 4 pins. The capacitor replacements I bought are Nichicon 80v 8200uF and only have 2 pins.

I was wondering if I could still use my replacements even though they only have 2 pins. Obviously I'd have to extend the pins of the capacitor to allow them to reach and fit through the...

Finding the wrong part at a loooong led strip, part works fine, part flickers, all parallel...
            by edugimeno
            Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

            by G-Sting
So My iPad was not charging and booting up . i went to a local technician and he checked with thermal and this Part marked in 1st Photo is Short.
So then i went on to boardview and downloaded the schematics and identified this part in 2nd Photo. Now i am confused what exactly is the part called ? where should i get this from ?

i contacted my technician and he sent me his BoardVIew screenshot in 3rd Photo. In his Boardview the part is called X2826.... Something

SO My main concern is what part should i order what should i search the name for ?

            RTX 3080 FE Identifying capacitor
            by Prolog
Hi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.

I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.

I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)

I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never...
