Psu brands and series

I want to make a one-stop list to list whther a psu brand is good or bad, or if the brand has some good series, etc.

Starting here:

Good:
Corsair
Seasonic
Newer antecs

Bad:
Coolmax
Raidmax
Diablotek
Antec smartpower 2.0 and truepower 2.0 (older)
Linkworld
Okia/broadway com corp
Athena power
Deer
Leadman
Powmax
Zumax is questionable-i own 2 they feelsildmbut have fujyyu (fukyyu) caps

Problem is any company can make a terrible unit or a good unit. It all depends on how much you pay. Solytech makes the SL-8600EPS which is pretty widely used and performs well with good efficiency. They also make some huge pieces of crap. Same with CWT, AcBel, and even Delta (though they are REALLY good at getting the ripple right at spec at full load).

Yes but for example in general a corsair is better than a diablotek

They don't do that.
It's not their job to edit everyone's private project.

If you don't go by specific models the list is pointless.
You can get very good and complete crap from the same brand.

Off the top of my head...

Newer Antec are questionable. [Loaded with LTEC and some with OST.]
The Basiq have OST - I think.
Earthwatts vary. I've seen LTEC, Taicon, and OST. [Usually mixed with a few Jap Caps.]
Older Antec with Smart, True, Blue, or Power in their name are Fuhjyyu Junk.
Antec Neo [not w/HE] had OST and are junk.
Some other Antecs are junk.

Seasonic non-OEM models - okay
Seasonic OEM models - OST - Junk

HEC [aka Herolchi, aka Compucase] WinPower and AcePower models are good.
Their Orion series is crap. [And ads don't always say it's an Orion.]
Their OEM units are hit-miss.
I haven't seen any of their newer 650 watt &up units.

Enermax Liberty & Noisetaker PSU's had issues with glue becoming conductive with age causing dead shorts and sometimes flame-outs.
Most other Enermax are okay [as far as I know.]

The only ones that consistently make good PSUs are Corsair and PC P&C. Even their cheaper models are pretty good.

They're ok. But it really depends on how much you pay them, as there are many models based on this same HEC design with out of spec ripple and even more meh voltage regulation.

I've seen Ltecs in Delta-made PSUs, and I think many Antecs are now made by Delta, including current Basiqs. Older Basiqs, including the 500W model, had Capxons everywhere (room no problem for fatter replacements). Seasonic-made Antec EarthWatts and Trios had lots of OSTs. Antec SmartPower IIs were mostly Fuhjyyu, but the +5V standby supply could have Teapos or a Koshin, and the Koshins failed a lot more often on me.

The Basiq series is built by FSP.
Delta does the some of the older and the newer Earthwatts and they use Taicon and LTEC.
The older non-Delta Earthwatts were Seasonic with OST.

They're phasing out the basiq line and replacing it with another basic budget line from delta.
