Schematics and Board file for a Macbook Pro Late 2013 - Water damage

    Hello

does anyone have the schematics and board files for a Late 2013 Macbook Pro 13".
It is a A1502 with 16gb of ram and an i5.

There is some corrosion around the battery charger circuit. The board does not turn on neither does the charger LED turn on.

    Thanks
    Steve

Try identifying the board's part number as in 820-xxxx something maybe we can help you that way!

Should this be on the board?

Thanks! But I am still not sure which board I have do you know how to find out?

A1502 820-3476-A seems to be correct. But I have a 16GB Ram Version and different CPU I wouldn't think they have different layouts for this... But maybe there are different board revisions? Anyway if anyone knows how to find out for sure would be nice.

But according to A1502 820-3476-A I am missing R7102 and C7150 from the board. There is not even any residue. It looks like there was something but those 2 are completely wiped off the board. Everything around U7100 was corroded - but that was the only spot.

What type of water damage? Just plain water? Was the unit on when this happened?

Yes it was on. Yes plain water/tea (normal tea not ice tea).

tea and water was any sugar or milk in it. Being on most like caused the problem. I would have to look up what tea does to solder joints and connectors. I know sugar causes many problems.

Well of course. But my main concern is if this is the correct board plan on so these 2 components are really missing. Or of i am simply looking at the wrong schematics.

Ah thanks. So it is indeed the 820-3476-A I guess.

lets order some parts then. Meanwhile I found another bad looking capactitor will replace it right away.

So this is the problem. The person who made the board, Apple, should be able to tell you. They are the manufacturer you are the buyer. You where considerate enough to buy their product. Now, you want to repair it. They want to make money off of your miss fortune even though it is there product. You have a interest in learning how to repair this machine after this misfortune for whatever reason you may have. Why is it you can not just pick up a phone and ask them for the board number and a way to get the correct schematics at a really cheap price or even free seeing how it is going on 4 years old.

MacBook Pro M4 16" A3403 on the table with water damage

                          Hi guys,
I have a MacBook Pro M4 16" A3403 on the table with water damage. I allready found the problem within a bad cap. As far as my researh went, I couldn't find the schematics and boardview for this MacBook model. They seem not to be released now. So my question is if anybody has a working A3403 on the table and could tell me, which specification this capasator has?
I attached a photo of the missing cap. It's on the bottom side of the logicbard.

I am very thankful for your replys.
Thanks in advanced and best regards from Hamburg Germany...

I have a Macbook pro retina late 2013, i7/2,8ghz. That got some water on it.

Had water in my messenger bag, along with my mac in a cloth sleeve. And the water had sipped out during the night.
The sleeve was quite soaked a few inches in on one long side. So the liquid or moistur mostly went to either on the side with the trackpad, or the dislay side where the vents are.

So here's a recollection of what I've checked and looked at.
(I know, probably did a bunch of mistakes, and I'm kind of novice so bear with me).

When I took it out, I think the...

Macbook A1466 820-00165A heavy water damage but working with "flashing" screen
                          by dbuergi
                          Hi all,

i got a A1466 with serious water damage. I was able to clean the whole board and only found a fuse with a coroded trace. Cleaning and resoldering did the job and the macbook started normal but after some time the screen began "flashing" like turning on and off while the Macbook was still running. I checked the board again but was not able to find the problem until now.
                          Any ideas where to look?...

Macbook A1708 with water damage and problems after removing U2800
                          by dbuergi
                          Hi all,

i got a A1708 with water damage. I cleaned everything and the board started normal. But the next day i got 20v but no booting. Thermal cam showed over 160c (never had a chip getting this burning hot before) in U2800 and some shorts on the caps around it. After removal shortages were gone and i installed a donor U2800 which worked before.
Sadly now the device stays at 5v, 0,4a and 1,9w and i don't find the problem.USB ports worked fine before....
