    Macbook 13" 2010 .brd not matching schematic.pdf

    Hi,

So I have a Macbook 13" (Motherboard 820-2879-B) that doesn't want to turn on. Theres the green light on magsafe but it doesn't want to charge the battery nor turn on the laptop (Even when the battery is removed).

I'm trying to find the problem but it looks like the schematic doesn't match the board file (I've attached them. I got these files here on the forums).

I'm trying to look for U7201 but I can't seem to find in the the .brd file. Do I have the wrong .brd file? IS it missing components?

    Thanks!

    Try these,

also, did you test charger with multimeter and took logic board out and disconnect everything attached to it and try to boot from pads in the logic board first before further troubleshooting?

Hi goodguy91, those files you gave me are the same ones that I uploaded (Except the document I upload doesn't have that water mark all over the pdf).

You have the right file, but there is an error in the schematic.

U7201 is a TPS51125. you can see it in schematic at page 3, and also in page 59, but as U7200.

Try search U7200 in .brd and you have it.

Thats odd. In U7201, VOUT1 is PP5V_S3_REG, which one is it in U7200? Pin 13?

          Thanks!

You have =PP5V_S3_REG at pin 1 of L7260.

If you want to know more about TPS51125, you can download its data-sheet.

            Regards.

              Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

I have a 2020 Macbook Pro A2289 and after many attempts managed to get it into DFU mode, using my older 2017 A1706 Macbook Pro (Running Ventura 13.7.8). However, when attempting 'Restore', it fails at step 4 of 4, showing the following error:

              - "The operation couldn’t be completed. (AMRestoreErrorDomain error -1 - Failed to handle message type StatusMsg (Generic error)) [AMRestoreErrorDomain – 0xA (10)]

              MacBook Pro 15" 2010 820-2850 intermittent charging
              by protocold
I would like to get some help on a 820-2850 logic board with intermittent charging problem. Sometimes the battery will charge all the way and sometimes magsafe would be cycling between green and orange.

I have already tried replacing dc-in board, swapping good battery, swapping genuine 85w chargers. None of that helps..

              when it is not intermittent:
              PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.07v

              when it is intermittent:
When the light is green, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.99v
when the light is orange, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 11.62v

              data line on the battery...
