hey guys ,need HP Envy 14 schematic

PRoblem is that was not turning on , after resoldering few component that were with cold solders , now it turn on , but only a good time of beeing with the DC on ... for ex if i leave the mbr at night with no battery and no dc in connected , and in the morning i insert dc in , it will not turn unless dc in stay attached to the dc jack for a good time , like 20 min , after that computer will turn on , it seeems a dc detect fault , but need schematic to know were to find the problem.

check the CMOS battery. it could be drained.

techman , thk you . dj_ricoh , this is another board fr the dc in . its charger board . even soldered directly to the lab station to the dc in place . but the same .
seems a bad AC DC detect circuit making this issue . must carry forward some extra tests

there are motherboards that won't turn on if the cmos battery is drained or below threshold voltage. the fact that your board turns on after 20 minutes indicates a possible issue with cmos battery. could you check the voltage please?

That only apply to a AMD platform...so yes ...not for intel base board.

Hi First with just adapter in check is dc jack lighting up? if not start with bios
if jack light then nexted alwon voltage 3/5 two large square coil should have this voltage with out pressing power button no then check DC IN like where your out now...Does it run on full battery with out adapter?

main problme is that client onlybring me BOARD with CHARGR Bpard . the DC JACK , have a 4 pin socket , plus a 3pin socket coming from the DC jack , the 3pin socket cable is to turn on somewere , but not on main board or charger board (since i dont found any socket to connect it . but yes DC JACK not turning on the white led.

techman , the board in the moment i connect the dc in .. i got instantly the 3.3 and 5 volts line working .thats for sure , i will chek out the bios just in case , before going any further , but strange things beeing a bios issue and only alowing to turn on machine after good amount of time .. because when it turn on first time , can remove dc jack and reinsert it after a while and it will turn on fast . thats the weird thing

@highpulse, could you check the cmos battery if the voltage is normal? it wouldn't hurt performing trivial test such as this one. (check pin 3 of D1001, from the schematic diagram posted by techman1025).

@techman1025, i remember encountering this issue in intel motherboard - specifically toshiba netbook.

2.98 v cmos battery , more than enough to not make this issue happening , i also had this issue on a intel board . but was first thing i cheked out
sorry if i didnt mentioned first , just now i cheked someone asked for the value of cmos .

if the led ant lighting up on dcjack problem is bios...you could confirm check RSMRST 3.3V & S5 3.3V

cheking the DC jack , it has to cables comming frmo it , an it visible that main connector 2 red and 2 black , are the ones for 19 volts line and this is the one who attach to charge board. then looking well on the rear part of the dc jack i notice that the Second cable (socket of 3 pins) is the one who attach to the LED and this connector is not connected . since i only got the MBR and CHARGE board , it wont turn on the LED ..

Hi whatS the full model number like this :HP ENVY 14-1110nr ? t6he board number you have listed don't help me to find the correct bio from hp.
it's the control pin ID pin it's needed to be connected to the board ..like on a dell you will get a unknown adapter and on a dell it will give you a warning and will never charge the battery it will run after pressing f1 .. it is little different on a hp
i would use a oem adapter if you could get you hands on one just to see if the led lights then we move on ...the rsmrst is correct for now heat the pch up a little like 100C see if laptop comes alive .
