Hi! I have a question regarding a Lenovo Yoga S940-14IIL (81Q8). I bought one off eBay with an assumed faulty screen. The device turns on fine and I get a picture via external monitor but the laptop screen (which doesn´t look damaged) stays black.
I measured 8,8V on the lcd connector (with charger connected) and that seems unusual to me. Does this laptop have some sort of unusual design or should it actually be 19V on the lcd, like with most laptops?
As much as I would appreciate a straightforward answer, I would also love to have a schematic for this one because... -

OK, so here is my issue.
This Lenovo B470 motherboard I am troubleshooting died and I identified it is the discrete Nvidia graphics chip that has lost it's ways!
So I removed it and now I am trying to change this motherboard to use UMA graphics, but I am having an issue interpreting the attached diagram. I have a 10K resistor in at the R2013 position and another one at the R2012. R2010 and R2011 are empty.
The motherboard starts, the fan spins but no display. It turns off by itself. I restart it and it does start but stays on...08-12-2024, 02:01 PM
