it has a soldered CPU

Yes I did, but no success. Owner told me he put laptop in sleep mode and never returned

I just want to check something before I flash bios.

i did one time something like that.
try to read the bios save it , delete and write back the file.
it work once for me.
maybe you get lucky

np, this motherboards has 7 different revisions. if above doesn't fit yours then tell me and I share others

This board's code is MS-N0511 ver 1.2 Do you have schematic version for this one, Thanks in advance!

I've got a slight problem regarding this. I successfully reprogrammed bios chip but while I was cleaning the board a small tiny smd resistor fell off. I'm assuming that it came somewhere near bios chip. Its the only place I touched during the process.

As you can see in the image, I just placed the resistor back at R401 but I'm not sure if its really there or not. its the only place I can think of close enough for my soldering iron to bump into. I'm also looking at R474 and I doubt that the tip would reach that and the resistor reads 4.6k in my meter. Just try to confirm it. Thanks again

well I guess it sits there aside from reference motherboards I saw from ebay, diagram shows 4.7k ohms. so its possible that R401 is correct.

Good news! This laptop now has display. Bios reprogram is successful. At first,I tried bios which came from its chip but did not work so I downloaded from msi website and that worked. I attached file. Thanks
