    Support for Samsung NP300E7A

    Hi all,
    I need to update the BIOS of the NP300E7A Samsung laptop, but I can't do that under Windows 10:

    - Installing the Samsung Update application from Store does not work (the application will just remain stuck).

    - With BIOSUpdate.exe I could download the latest verision of the BIOS ("ITEM_20130312_816_WIN_09QA.exe"), but when I try to flash it, I get a blue screen. I did try to run the application in compatibility mode, but no luck.

    I have the feeling that the issue is related to Windows 10, so I was wondering if there is any DOS application to update the BIOS (I can extract the BIOS from "ITEM_20130312_816_WIN_09QA.exe" with WinRAR, I hope that is correct).
    I know it is a very old laptop, any suggestion will be GREATLY appreciated!

    EDIT: I tried to use winphlash64-1.0.76, but the bios file I have does not seem to be compatible with this application.

      Nevermind, I found a very fancy way to fix this by reinstalling Windows 7 on a random disk and using the BIOS update application. All done!

          Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

          Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...

          I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15imh05a device that I bought used online. It came with a 20V 8.5A 170W charger.

          The BIOS version is EFCN58WW.

          When I turn on the device, it displays the message:
          "The Connected AC adapter has a lower wattage than the recommended AC adapter..."

          The device rarely charges the battery, and even when it does, it doesn't show that it's charging.

          The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

          Suspected Cause:
          I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
