    SONY VAIO SVE14135CXP BIOS dump & help request

    SONY VAIO SVE14135CXP
    BIOS VERSION: R0200D5
    ME VERSION: UnKnown


    Background:

    I have a SONY VAIO SVE14135CXP that appears to have a missing ME Region firmware.

    The symptom is that the machine boots, but shuts down 30 minutes later.

    I have the similar issue that another user has, just a different model of sony vaio.

    What I have done:
    I have purchased the CH341A programmer clip and did the 3.3v mod.
    I have successfully dumped and verified the bios using flashrom on linux.

    What I need help with:
    I was hoping someone with experience would help with the damaged ME data.


    I have attached two copies of the bios as a .bin file.
    I just starting learning this weekend so I would appreciate some help!
    The ME data just seems a bit much to figure out.

              This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

              I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

              I have a ASUS ZenBook UX480F with the following symptoms:



              I suspect it is a BIOS issue. So I decided to try to clean the ME region. I followed the guide on win-raid, and I believe I have done everything correctly. My problem is: when I open the outimage.bin in ME Analyzer, it says that it is Extracted, and not Region, Extracted as it should be. Is it normal, or did I do something not correctly? This is my first experience editing BIOS files.

              The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

              Suspected Cause:
              I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
