Hi everyone, I need your help, I replaced a mosfset due to no net shorted power, I checked that I have all the voltages and they are correct, the keyboard starts electrically and turns on, I hear the fans starting but nothing on the screen.

Hello friends, I have a question, whenever I change a PCH on an Acer notebook, the machine does not turn on if the PCH is used and removed from a different brand notebook, it only works with a new PCH or one removed from another Acer, any chance of a change in the bios making it work? I have this board here (la-j871p), I got the PCH from a Lenovo, but it doesn't work, as expected, I tried different bios, I have the original bios.Comment

It is because of bootguard. You can only use a PCH from an acer donor board with the same bootguard settings or use a PCH with no bootguard, then if the bios has bootguard the bios can be modified to disable bootguard. You can`t put a PCH with bootguard from a different brand and modify the bios, you would have to add the OEM key etc, not possible.Comment

After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:

Hello everyone.
I'm here to ask for help troubleshooting an issue with my Acer Nitro 5 An55-515. Board number fh51m LAJ871P .
The laptop turns on without any image, and after inspection, I noticed the 1.2V voltage was reading 8V spikes. The PQM1 MOSFET's gate was shorted to the source.
I replaced PQM1, PQM2, and PUM1. After turning on the machine, the 1.2V voltage appears correctly for about 1 minute, but after that, PQM1 shorted again. The MOSFET and controller assembly has already been replaced twice and continues to blow. I can't understand what's going on. I should also add... -
Hello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder... -

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
