Thank you very much for the BIOS file.

I have flashed the new BIOS you provided. I also ordered a new 90W power supply, which has arrived, so I am sure it's not a power adapter issue.

Unfortunately, the problem still occurs, but I have noticed some more specific symptoms:
    • When I install the RAM: The laptop powers on (LEDs blink, fan spins), but the screen does not turn on at all. It shuts down after a few moments.
    • If I try to start it without the RAM installed: The screen does turn on for a moment (LEDs blink, fan spins), shows a "No bootable device" message, and then it shuts down.

What I've also noticed is that after it shuts down (in either scenario), it won't turn on again. I have to disconnect both the AC adapter and the internal battery before it will attempt to power on again.

Is this still likely a BIOS issue, or should I start looking for a hardware fault elsewhere?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank

Maybe you received a faulty motherboard, or another part from the laptop is faulty
Test only motherboard and screen, nothing else connected (no keyboard, no touchpad, no I/O board, no WiFi, no SSD, no RTC battery)
With RTC battery removed it should turn on upon connecting AC adapter, otherwise find the alternate power button pads at J4501 or J4502 (or pins 1-2 at the keyboard connector) and momentarily short with tweezers to turn on the laptop

        Thank you for that advice.

I followed your suggestion and tested the motherboard with minimal components. This led me to a very important discovery:

The laptop starts up and works without any problem as long as the internal display (LCD screen) is disconnected. It boots correctly, and I can also use it perfectly fine on an external monitor via the HDMI port.

The original problem immediately returns as soon as I plug the internal display back in. The laptop will power on, the screen lights up for a moment and looks normal, but after a second, it all shuts down. (And again, I have to disconnect the battery and AC adapter to get it to power on again).

The screen itself looks physically fine. I'm wondering if this is a compatibility issue? The display panel is from a V15-IKB model. Is it possible that a BIOS modification is needed to correctly support this specific screen?

What other steps can I take to fix this? Could this be a bad display cable, the screen itself (drawing too much power), or a fault on the motherboard's display power circuit?

Screen is the same, Lenovo parts website lists 3 screens for the V15-IKB
          5D10R41288
          5D10R41285
          5D10R41287
          https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/p...lay/compatible

          And for V15-IIL
          https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/p...splay/as-built
          The same part numbers
Maybe the display cable is faulty, or the webcam? Looks like something is making a short circuit to me, that's why laptop powers off and doesn't turn on again
You may open a new thread in the troubleshooting laptops section, as the BIOS isn't an issue

Help Disabling Flash Protection Range Registers on Lenovo P360 Tiny BIOS
            by abhorsen
            Hey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27

Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...

Lenovo x1 nano gen 1 -- bricked -- where to flash the bios/fw
            by Nicola Bianchi
            Hello!

A few days ago I bricked my Lenovo x1 nano gen 1 while updating the bios/fw from linux.
No the machine power up, but it stuck in a recovery state and I can not do much.

I would like to flash a new BIOS/FW on the chip using a CH341a programmer but ... I actually don't know which "chip" on the motherboard to target 🤦‍♂️
So here I am to ask for help.

I opened the laptop and I found a chip that may be the target, on it I've:

Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS

            Hello everyone,

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...
