Thank you very much for the BIOS file.
I have flashed the new BIOS you provided. I also ordered a new 90W power supply, which has arrived, so I am sure it's not a power adapter issue.
Unfortunately, the problem still occurs, but I have noticed some more specific symptoms:
What I've also noticed is that after it shuts down (in either scenario), it won't turn on again. I have to disconnect both the AC adapter and the internal battery before it will attempt to power on again.
Is this still likely a BIOS issue, or should I start looking for a hardware fault elsewhere?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank

Unfortunately, the problem still occurs, but I have noticed some more specific symptoms:
- When I install the RAM: The laptop powers on (LEDs blink, fan spins), but the screen does not turn on at all. It shuts down after a few moments.
- If I try to start it without the RAM installed: The screen does turn on for a moment (LEDs blink, fan spins), shows a "No bootable device" message, and then it shuts down.
What I've also noticed is that after it shuts down (in either scenario), it won't turn on again. I have to disconnect both the AC adapter and the internal battery before it will attempt to power on again.
