Help needed – Lenovo device with no video output.

I loaded the BIOS from POS 33, version DKCN55WW, and it works without showing the serial number or other BIOS details, with only 4GB of RAM detected.

However, when I install the external 4GB RAM module for expansion, the screen goes black.

 Thanks in advance.

 Hello everyone,

I need some help with a motherboard swap.

Original Laptop: Lenovo V15-IKB Original (dead) Board: GS44B/GS54B NM-C561 Rev:1.0 Original SN: PF25RNQM (Attached: BIOS dump from this old board - V15_IKB.bin)

New (Donor) Board: GS44D/GS54D NM-C711 Rev:1.0 (This board is from a Lenovo V15-IIL with an i5-1035G1 CPU) (Attached: Current BIOS dump from this new board - V15_IIL.bin)

The Problem: I installed the new NM-C711 board into the V15-IKB chassis. When I connect the original 65W Lenovo PSU, the power LEDs start blinking, the laptop resets, shows image for a moment, and then shuts down. It seems to be in a reset loop.

I have tried all possible combinations of connecting tapes and connectors, but the problem remains. I do not have the original Serial Number (SN) or MTM that was assigned to the new GS44D/GS54D NM-C711 Rev:1.0 board.

Could this be a BIOS issue? Perhaps the V15_IIL.bin needs a Clean ME, or maybe DMI information needs to be transferred from the old V15_IKB dump?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Checking Lenovo parts website lists with S/N PF25RNQM shows that the original AC adapter for V15-IKB is 45W 20V 2.25A, for the replacement V15-IIL (MT 82C5) motherboard it requires 65W AC adapter, 20V 3.25A; rest of the parts are compatible or listed as substitutes thereHello everyone,

Looks like a power issue to me, test without SSD, additional RAM stick and WiFi first; also try with a charged battery, AC adapter unplugged
The V15-IIL motherboard has the DMI from the laptop it was pulled from, leave it as is, as the Lenovo preinstalled software will try to offer wrong drivers/BIOS otherwise

Try BIOS extracted from Lenovo website, DMI inserted from the new replacement board

			by abhorsenHey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27

Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...-

I would like to flash a new BIOS/FW on the chip using a CH341a programmer but ... I actually don't know which "chip" on the motherboard to target 🤦♂️
So here I am to ask for help.

by to5it0Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS

 Hello everyone,

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...2 Photos-
