Re: nm-d474 lenovo v15 g2-- system password
Hello friend, I have this laptop in my workshop, it arrived because the client wanted to change the solid and apparently he made a short, which he did not tell me before.
So now that I see the short I wanted to download your bios and I did it thinking that maybe that was it, now that I realize that it is for a short, I want to ask you what programmer you used to get your backup since I use a ch341 and it works different from yours, now if you use the same tell me what program you used because that way I could take a backup of mine and install it on yours if you think so -

Hi,
My lenovo B50-70 laptop (mainboard compal LA-B092P VER 2.0) had a short on the +3V generation part (where PU401 is).
I've removed the SY8208BQNC and the short is gone on PL402. Although, it's still there on pin 5 "LDO" of the SY8208BQNC (1.8ohms to GND).
All other coils aren't shorted to GND.
Removing the PC412 cap didn't help. Mainboard pads are still shorted. Cap itself is fine.
Pin 20 (+3VLP) of ALC codec isn't shorted too, so it shouldn't be the issue.
Originally, the laptop wouldn't power on. It would get its 20V on the... -
by RMDUiFTGood day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.
I have a few questions:- If I would buy this laptop and have

by coasterghostFor Badcaps Readers, Please note that I am hopefully going to present this same message to Lenovo to see if they have any insight to the matter as well and figured to share the entirety here for clarification. The System is out of warranty as it is but does have the option to have it extended.

Hey guys,
have a laptop here that has a supervisor Password (dump in Attachements).
Before i write the Serial NR.etc i wanted to say that strangely after flashing with 3 different Bios dumps and one from lenovos site
the laptop works but everytime it wants me to type a supervisor password i never set.
I thought the supervisor password is stuck in the ec bios but no it isn't either because after replacing the ec chip from one of another board it still has the supervisor password.
Anyway i wanted to ask what of the two chips is the ec bios because on the left...-
