Re: Help hp probook 430 g7 bios pw
thank you for your help, but still password there.
more data:
spi chip / WINBOND W25Q128JVSIQ@SOIC8
ec chip / GIGADEVICE GD25B127DSIG@SOIC8
the first try i use programmer elnec memprog2, don't find exact same chip model name but close too theme and it's work, dump both spi rom and ec rom with it, try dumps with tools provided by @RethoricalCheese, first with RCunlocker multitool i get error prompt "wrong chip. try reading and unlocking 16mb chip!", but with HP BIOS unlock tool i get an unlocked files i programme spi chip with it and password still there, i don't try with ec, i do some search find this thread and post in it.
and to day i just receive a new programmer XGECU PRO T48 [TL866-3G], i find the exact model name of both chips, used to programme the spi unlocked file you send me here, and password steel there.
i do dump spi rom and ec rom with the new programmer, try with tools, and get an succes prompt and unlocked files with both spi rom and ec rom with RCunlocker multitool like you in spi file in the pic you send me.
sorry for the loooooong story, i don't try with ec just dump original file, i need your help.
thank's

Re: Help hp probook 430 g7 bios pw
Would someone be kind enough to take a look at these? I can remove the password, but I am then stuck with the "Endpoint Controller" error. I've reset the security settings, and reflashed many times, but I just cant shake it.
Cheers!Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Help hp probook 430 g7 bios pw
It works!! Thanks.
It wasn't painless for me as it went into Manufacturers Programing Mode, which took me a while to figure out as I had not seen this before, but thats just my lack of experience.
One question if I may. As all the machine specific information is gone, can that file be used on an identical laptop with the same BIOS revision?
Thanks again!Comment

by studdy05Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

by piratiHello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...-

by the_razI'm requesting a bios .bin for 2 of my hp Probook 450 G3's. Both of which I had forgotten the bios passwords. I stupidly flashed both of them with firmware "made" by the RCUnlocker software and I guess I shouldn't have. The last thing I did was flash both of them with RCUnlocker-fw thinking it would 100% work and left my programmer etc behind and won't have access to them for another 2 days so I figured I'd create a thread to see if I'd be so lucky that someone might have a working file laying around 😝
