Hi,
I've been here for a while. I've found a lot of useful info here, and even managed to contribute a little back again.

It's most likely a manufacturing defect, very common on this model. I have repaired many, and expect to see many more in the near future.
Simply remove, clean and resolder QB6. Its on the rear of the board, just to the left of thev text "Rev 1.0"

Re: Help hp probook 430 g7 bios pw
It works!! Thanks.
It wasn't painless for me as it went into Manufacturers Programing Mode, which took me a while to figure out as I had not seen this before, but thats just my lack of experience.
One question if I may. As all the machine specific information is gone, can that file be used on an identical laptop with the same BIOS revision?
Thanks again!...

Re: Help hp probook 430 g7 bios pw
Would someone be kind enough to take a look at these? I can remove the password, but I am then stuck with the "Endpoint Controller" error. I've reset the security settings, and reflashed many times, but I just cant shake it.
Cheers!...

Re: AMITSESetup Decryptor
Didn't work for me, and I'm happy to just zero out the bytes, but here is my original BIOS file to help improve the tool.
Cheers!...
