Read the sticky threads, there is a password section in the Bios Guides, and you`ll find an 8FC8 patcher

                    Hi everyone,

I have a Dell Latitude 7400 motherboard (LA-G871P) with two Winbond 25Q80DVSIG chips labeled UT2 and UT6. I accidentally erased the contents of the UT6 chip while attempting to diagnose an issue. However, I suspect that neither of these chips actually contains the main BIOS.

Could someone who has the same board confirm whether these two chips are part of the BIOS/EC firmware setup? And if so, would you be able to provide the correct dumps for both UT2 and UT6?

Additionally, I can't find any larger BIOS chip on the top side of the board. If anyone knows where the main BIOS is located on this motherboard, I would appreciate the guidance.

                    Thanks in advance!

                      Hi again,

Sorry, but I don't see an option to edit my post, so I'm sending a new one.
I believe I've found the main BIOS chip on the board, located at UC5. Unfortunately, I don't have the right adapter for my programmer at the moment to proceed with flashing a new BIOS.

I've also found information suggesting that UT2 and UT6 might be related to the USB-C functionality, so it's probably not a major issue if you can't provide a new dump.

Anyway, if someone has dumps for these chip models and can share both, I would greatly appreciate it! That way, I can compare UT6 with my dump I have.

                      Thanks in advance!

                        Hello,

I have downloaded the bios file but could not program it to my winbond IC - it is too large.

Any ideas how to resize the bios file?

You don`t resize the bios file to fit. I`ll bet you have chosen the wrong chip. Read the 2 posts above yours, he made the mistake of erasing both the 25Q80DVSIG chips. Don`t make that same mistake

Yeah, that was me. Double-check UC5, it's on the other side of the board and looks a bit different. I initially mistook it for a MOSFET and ended up picking the wrong chip.
