    Medion E2215T BIOS Password problem

    Hi guys
i have a Medion E2215T - MD 60213 laptop. It was bought from someone who no longer lives here on Gran Canaria

The hard drive is embedded on the PCB and it will not boot into an OS I just get the requester for a BIOS password which is unknown so I can't get into the BIOS and boot from USB either.

I tried removing the battery and leaving it overnight but it made no difference

Can I clear the password by removing he BIOS chip and reprogramming it with a new bin file using my Eprom programmer? If so does anyone have a suitable BIOS bin file? Assuming the password is held in the BIOS. It must be held somewhere

    Thanks guys

Thanks. I'll get the chip unsoldered and read it.

        Damn - it's a 25Q64FW

        That's a 1.8V Eprom and my TL866CS doesn't do 1.8V

Looks like I need another programmer

You can buy cheap 1.8v adapters that should work with your programmer.

Re: Medion E2215T BIOS Password problem

I desoldered the BIOS chip and read the contents (before seeing the suggested password form SMDFlea)

Seeing as I already removed it, here is the original file (attached)

Does someone know how to clear the password and for that matter does someone know where I can learn to do that myself?

                  TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" Bios Password Problem?
                  by traxformania
                  Hello,

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

                  I tried :

-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                  by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
                  by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...
