Re: macbook pro A1425 emc 2557 bios request

Finally I think is working but not clear what was the issue!.
I just entered with command +S , hear the chime then waited some seconds (seeing nothing at all as always) and typed reboot not even knowing that something would do... then i saw a folder blinking, then restarted again with option pressed and saw the options, now im installing high sierra on the previously disconnected ssd.
So very sorry for this thread with unclear aspects, shame on me but thats what happened so far,,, thanks to all of you.

Re: macbook pro A1425 emc 2557 bios request

bad news... same thing again... but it allowed me yesterday full install of high sierra, after updates in the morning, all back to chime no image ...
when it worked with macosit was very low opening launchpad for eg. (like the animation would be at 0.0003fps) but normal menues were fast.

im with no clues for this case

      CHIMES OK
      BACKLIGHT OK
      NO IMAGE
LOW BATTERY NDICATOR perfect (in case of it should appear)

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
            by cr4zychriss
            Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

Product Name: Razer Blade 15 (2022)
            Product ID: RZ09-0421
            Motherboard: CH580
            BIOS Versions I work with: 2.02 & 2.06
            Bios File Size: 32,768 KB

            Dear Forum Readers!

I'm looking for a BIOS modder or anyone with experience who would give me suggestions about my razer blade's BIOS settings.
I can view and edit the content of the BIOS .bin file with AMIBCP BIOS editor.
The BIOS files I'm working with are from badcaps.net and those are CLEAN BIOS files (anyone can find it with the search string: RZ09-0421).

            ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
            by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
            Some issues
            A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

            Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
            by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
            by Wahaz
            Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....
