    you must have a hot air and programmer
    you must desolder the bios chip from your motherboard , read it wit programmer and upload THE fiLe here

            Hello Guys,

            ive got a HP EliteBook 850 G6 with a locked bios, i removed the second bios chip and read it, i save the file and save it in a Zip folder.
            Can Somebody please help to unlock it ? thank you so much for your help

                I did my first laptop repair related to a BIOS issue. Laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad T480, and was not booting.                 Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

                Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
                So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.

                Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.

                I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.

                These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.

                Alienware Aurora R15 accidentally flashed with XPS 8960 BIOS

                Hi,
                I've had an ssd that was previously used on dell xps 8960 and then it was installed in Alienware Aurora R15(intel version). On first windows boot in R15 windows started bios update and loaded bios for xps 8960(r15 and xps8960 essentially have same motherboards).

                Now it has xps 8960 bios that looks different from alienware bios and when I'm trying to run bios update files for R15, I get unsupported platform error.

                These models have AMI/Aptio BIOS.

                Tried to edit product info with DMI Edit to change values back to Alienware R15, but it does not want...
