    HP - 15-ax009np bios has wrong keyboard layout

    Hi,

    Recently i tried to update the bios on my laptop to the latest version, F.56 Rev.A.
    For some reason, the bios seemed to flash well, but after rebooting, the laptop turned on but the screen remained black.

    Since this was a BIOS issue, i searched for a BIOS dump and flashed it so i could have my laptop working again.
    It worked successfully but it seems that the bios i flashed is from another variant 15-ax016tx which does have another keyboard layout.

    Before flashing the new BIOS i made a backup just in case.

    Is there anyway i could dump the current bios and copy the information from the backup and have the laptop with all the correct information ?
    Can anyone instruct me how to do it ?

                  I dumped that bios with the programmer before flashing a new one. It's all i've got.

                                      I'm working on a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3050 Ti) and recently installed a compatible 4-zone RGB keyboard and controller (for Dell G15 5510/5511/5515 models). While the keyboard functions for typing, the RGB lighting is not detected by Alienware Command Center (AWCC), which displays “No AlienFX devices found.”

                                      • Attempted BIOS downgrade but no improvement.

                                      Long story short:
                                      - dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
                                      - gave the computer to his son a couple years later
                                      - son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
                                      - too lazy to remove the board from the case, thought a voltage regulator was the BIOS chip (you know... it has 8 legs)
                                      (seems like the story was not that short)

                                      He used alligator clips to read the chip. No luck reading it. Removed chip and placed on a SOC-8...

                                      So I couldn't remember my bios password and since it was broken screen, I used to connected to the TV via Type C to HDMI. So I decided to remove the Bios chip and reprogram the Bios chip with ch314a.. when I try to solder Bios on the laptop, one of the Bios leg broke off.. I bought a new blank Bios chip so I can programmed by flashing on the bios.

                                      Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
                                      With original bios no POST, only LED lights
                                      With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                      Some issues
                                      A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
                                      B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
