Re: help me dell 7320-7420 PASS
Thank you for the file, Unfortunately while soldering to the board I shifted few components and laptop won't power on anymore even bios and components are soldered back.
I have got one more laptop with identical motherboard (Dell Latitude 7320). Could you pls unlock the dump file attached for me? I have a private repair shop and learning the stuff. What method you use to clear the pass? Are you able to find it inside the file? You are my saviour with both cleared bioses. Thank you again in advance.Last edited by SMDFlea; 04-10-2023, 10:54 AM.Comment

Re: help me dell 7320-7420 PASS
Thank you. I programmed the data to the chip and soldered back. Now I can't see any light on and measuring the bios chip pins voltage has changed to 1.8v instead 3.3 Does it needs to be activated somehow or I burned something out again? Thank you for help.Comment

Re: help me dell 7320-7420 PASS
What ? How can it change from 3.3 vol to 1.8 vol ? What's code name of chip ? Just to be sure on first boot you have to go into bios settings to disable all security options.Last edited by hoaca388; 07-17-2022, 08:26 AM.

Re: help me dell 7320-7420 PASS
The voltage changed on the 7420 motherboard as well. It looks like I burned something out but I just soldered the chip with hot gun.I am getting this values on bios chip (Winbond 25R2S6JVEN)
Pin 1 - 1.3V
Pin 2 - 1.9V
Pin 3 - 1.9V
Pni 4 - 0V
Pin 5 1.3V
Pin 6 - 1.9V
Pni 7 - 0V
Pin 8 - 0VComment

Re: help me dell 7320-7420 PASS
As far as I know pin number 8 must have 3.3 volts.

Re: Dell Latitude 7400 Bios Password
Hello,
can you help me? I do not know exactly which chip to read and where to find it.
I read this one out but the file is only 1MB. Can this be correct?
I have a Latitude 7420 2-in-1 (Not the one in the photo. I got the picture from the internet. But mine looks exactly the same.)Last edited by SMDFlea; 04-10-2023, 10:54 AM.Comment

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -

by H8CoreHello folks,
an acquaintance brought me a motherboard from a Dell Latitude 5520 with the mainboard 0g60m3...
Bios corrupt and admin password from his children, they are 7 and 9y old.
Today I wanted to desolder the chip with hot air in order to be able to read it out and possibly rewrite it.
It's not the first time I've done something like this, but Dell is new territory. can it be that dell sticks the bios chips on? I could not remove the chip (W25R256JVEN). is there a how to or information?
Thanks-
