it means you had power on password which sets up also hdd password. You can try unlocking it by PSID revert. Google it.

put back original bios and see if it works. if not it means you didn't read properly your bios. If it works perform a clean ME to unlocked bios.

Hi, I have a 7420 machine with bios chip winbond 25R256JVEN. I accidentally deleted the bin file and erased the data in the chip. Is there any way to reload a bios file and re-enter the old service tag?
