Hi, sorry for this stupid question...but how to get the current .bin file so i can drag and drop to the tool?? (Usage: Drag and drop .bin file to .exe file.)
I have a HP Elitebook 840 G3 with bios password and i need to unlock the password so i can access/update bios. thanks for your help.Comment

So it's not *.bin file if you have not added the extension.Comment

It is a bin file windows saves it as a bin. i also tried to add the bin so it was HPDUMP.bin but still the same errorComment

Your computer username has a dot in it aswell. Might be because of that. Move the file to some non-user folder.Comment

I have 1000s off locked hp none off them work am dumping the 16mb chip also tried a few 32mb chips gives same error.

Just a thread to post clean VSS2 files/dumps in.A clean VSS2 file can, in some cases, fix
the infamous **"Endpoint Security" error message.
Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !
I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted
files.
hoaca388 has made an excellent guide how to extract the VSS2 file and edit/clean it up by
filling everything after... -
