He shoots, HE SCORES!!!
Thanks for your help hoaca388, using Capslock for the upper case letters worked a treat.
I used the password for the 6FF1 suffix and it worked the first time.

Re: Dell Latitude 7480 Bios Password
Evening, (well, it is here anyway) I'm a bit lost.
My system number is 16PPRQ2-6FF1
I've tried the number from bios-pw, I've changed the suffix to BF97 and tried that number too. neither work.
I don't have a US keyboard to try to enter it with that, is there anything else I can do to try and get rid of the pesky admin pasword?
Thanks in advance
and I've confirmed that there are 16 *s on the passwordLeave a comment:

Re: Dell Latitude 7480 Bios Password
@ok67- Post your generated passwords.
- Count how many stars/asterisks are printed on the screen when you do the CTRL-ENTER-ENTER, there must be 16.
- Upload a picture of the password screen. The master password works best at the System Password prompt “This computer system: #1NF80X2-E7A8, is protected by a password authentication system…”.
The point is, I was on a business trip and used laptop keyboard. At home I used external USB keyboard. It could be a reason why the password was not accepted. Now is everything fine.

Re: Dell Latitude 7480 Bios Password
Hello,
I have 1NF80X2-E7A8. Tried mentioned password generator. Received two passwords, held Ctrl and pressed Enter twice. Without success by both. User qwerty and qwertz. Used O instead of 0. Nothing helps.
Any idea how to remove bios password ?
Thanks in advance.Leave a comment:

by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, π π π ...-

by anlsmithI am trying to remove the BIOS password for a Dell Latitude 5430 motherboard LA-L591P. So far I think that I have located the BIOS chip but NeoProgrammer says that is detects 3 chips. I have attached the dump from each one. Are any of these the BIOS file? Service Tag: 1DMC1T3. If nyone knows the exact location of the bios chip as well I would greatly appreciate it...

by TripTopHi
i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
- takes long time to restart.
- sometimes powers on and then off
- sometimes while working it just dies,
From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?
i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)
As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.
I reinstall...-
