    Hi,

    I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05 NM-C911 with i7-10750h and GTX1660Ti graphics.

One of the mosfets for the 1660Ti GPU was shorted, so I have desoldered the Mosfets for the GPU and VRAM.

Laptop boots to windows, but fans are on high speed, and shuts off shortly after.

Could you please disable the 1660Ti in BIOS for me, so I can keep using the laptop with Intel graphics?

    Thank You!

    Hi

    I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H
    Serial PF2B6P45
    MTM: 81Y6005TUK

It was doing a Lenovo system update in windows updates and it never turned back on, all I get is a blank screen.

I have tried to read the bios and it is stored as lenovo old, and the latest bios from lenovo website is the efcn59ww

is it possible someone can add the required info so I can try and flash it to get it working again

    Many thanks

I think I might have ended up trying to flash one I downloaded from Lenovo website and so not able to get the original one back, is there anyway to make one up from the one on their website and my serial number or do I need other information as well?

Make another backup lets see whats on the chip. Are you using a clip ? , what part number is etched on top of the bios chip, what model is your programmer and software version, is the chip in the support list, did you use Auto-detect or manually select the chip.

                    I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H 81y6003yUS, Serial number PF2GN05C
It was working a couple days ago, put on the shelf. A few days later attempted to power up, no POST, keyboard lights up, fans spin for a little while then shuts off. I've already done the typical draining capacitance and removed CMOS battery, etc. No idea what happened, but I believe some Win11 updates were installing recently, but not sure if that was the last thing done on this laptop before failed.

Here is the bios, hoping it can be repaired or a new bios file to program. BTW: the chip is a winbond 25Q128JVSQ (but I chose winbond 25Q128JV on the programmer).

Thanks Hardware1, I used your file to program the bios. All appeared to work well through neoprogrammer, I checked all items under "Write IC" (off protect, erase, blank check, write, verify) and it completed successfully. Tried to boot up the laptop, it turned on and off a few times I assuming auto calibrating to the hardware on the laptop, but the final cycle of the boot attempt and it did the same original issue and it turned off by itself (no display throughout). I tried to power on again, and the keyboard lights up, fans spin but no POST and shuts off in about 40 seconds. Same as before. Any suggestions from anyone? This is a pretty expensive motherboard.... but not looking too good right now.

You're welcome. The file I sent should works fine, so most likely it's a hardware issue. Also you can try to change the BIOS chip itself, somethings it could be faulty but still can read/write it.

One more thing I just noticed. I noticed the caps lock LED will go on and off when pressed. But if it was actually running, not sure why it would just shut off in 40 seconds. And I've already tried an external monitor through the HDMI port several times to be sure (before and after the BIOS work).

I tried several other bios. some bios don't recognize the keyboard. some bios don't recognize the ssd... so I think the problem is still in the bios.

                                          Hello there.

I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.

                                          History:

                                          1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.

I searched for this error online and discovered...

                                          by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                          Some issues
                                          A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                                          Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...
