    Re: Panasonic CF53 MK4 CF-532S74RMG

    hello,

at the book are label: CF-532S74RMG with serial: 5JTCA29901

as I buy it there was in BIOS (V4.00L18 M91 the Serial: 5KTCA37037

so I think there was some mod before me and the WWAN and WLAN does not work. Wireless switch was disabled and not working (also LED still off).

I search a lot of ROM here and test...a lot of them enables the wireless switch but only WWAN comes on

here the original backup ROM from book at first day (with PW and wireless switch disabled!).

    with kind regards

    Mike

Still the WLAn card's will not regonize in any way, not bios, not windows. In BIOS I have menu for WWAN (enable/disable) but nothing for WLAN, thats curiouse

Are you sure youve got the exact same model as in the thread title. Do you have a copy of the Original backup .

    hello,

I read and learned a lot here. Many Thanks for that!

Now I'am at the point, that the book is working fine, wireless switch is activated and WWAN detected. WLAN I will change soon, I think it is defect.

I flash with CH341a and clip without any soldering an other bios from here, what in description was free of PW, BUT:

    ----- just 4 info -----------

I had an PW in the old bios set and I think that was reading out from somewhere in the book, so If I try to enter the BIOS I was not able to go in, because the "data" in bios was clear and the "data" from somewhere not, both missmatch...

I read out my backup from original bios and set the same values inside the new bios and that it works..easy for you but for me something learnd

    ----------------------------

Now I enable all menu with the "magic string" and have working book..so far so good, BUT:

Question: is it possible to enable ME? I have only "n/a" as info in BIOS and no skills to understand for what is ME usefull, is it problem to work without?

    with kind regards

    Mike

    hello,

one question: is it possible to flash the bios with AFUWIN or any other tool without external programer? Or if not, is there any tutorial? I have the skills for bonding and using MC's but here I'am newbee

My problem: I have a CF-532S74RMG with bios inside where the WLAN and WWAN function isn't enabled and no option inside the bios to change that.

Maybe you know where I can enable this funktion in the hex-dump?

    with kind regards

    Mike

yes but search and look just with text 5KTCA or 5JTCA

there are lots of little bits of serial everywhere

the last digits are coded on 16bits little-endian to ascii
look at the number of times found serial on my picture

So better to start from an original file and modify it my way if you have other pc to do. You keep the original file like that

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
    by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1 BIOS repair
    by aa10aa10
    Good day,

I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.

I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....

Panasonic CF-20G0247VM BIOS Bad Flash Help
    by James Jackson
I usually try to figure these things out on my own but am asking for help now as I have been beating my head against a wall.

Backstory, I initially ended up with a CF20 Mk2 with a locked BIOS. I used aptio to read the BIOS and made the adjustments to the .rom file and attempted to write it back with aptio before reading other users problems with that setup. Well it bricked the BIOS go figure. Computer no longer boots, black screen. I found a clean BIOS on this forum but now I am having ME issues. So I would rather hand over the aptio dump(pre BIOS brick) and a hardware reader dump(post...

    Panasonic FZ-G1 MK5 - BIOS password returning

    Hello
I removed the BIOS password thanks to the help of one of the friends of this forum.
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...61#post3637661

The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but...
