plz brothers need help with this case .. i did unlock dump latitude 5400 all fine enter to the system then shutdon put back the down cover ...when i try again for the last time no hdd detect ..i restore bios setting ..repair bios ..clean bios ç dont know if i did it correctly ) but the issue still ..can that be a bios issue ?

Can you help me remove bios password from attached bios file? Appreciate your help.

1st boot press F2 and write service tag, disable Absolute, Apply Changes, restart. 2nd boot press alt+F to exit factory mode.

Ok thanks, so far I did what removed the battery and CMOS battery for reset, tried the Dell CCTK tool but doesn't do much.

I will look at the guide again. Pity I bought the laptop refurbished with the bios locked. The people I bought it from said, I don't need it and won't do it for me.

Programmer CH341A is cheapest.

I am new and was reading the rules for bios. I don't get how to get the dump file. seems a bit too technical for me. Is there an easy guide to get it without be a programmer.

Hello,
I found a solution to clear password from BIOS bin file (using "Hex Editor Neo"):
1- Select the range 00045000 to 00048fff
2- Select "Edit" then "Fill"
3- Put "ÿ" in "Pattern" zone.
4- Choose "Fill selection" then clic on "Fill" button.
5- Save the new file.
Enjoy!!
NB : Always make copy of backup then work....

I apologize for re-posting. But in post 401 there is no required bios file 8mb. And I can't edit the post.

OK upload the 8MB dump, I'll edit the post #401 for you.
