Hi,
Downloaded your M6700 LA-7933P Clean ME BIOS
to enable AMD FirePro S7100X compatibility.
Hardware: Dell Precision M6700 with BIOS A02 (successfully downgraded from A20)
Problem: All flash attempts fail with "BIOS is write-protected"
Tried tools:
- AFUDOS /p /b /n /k
- Intel FPTDOS -f
- Both on BIOS A02 and A20
Question: Are there specific steps to disable write protection before flashing your modded BIOS? Or special tools/procedures needed for M6700?
Goal: Install AMD FirePro S7100X (currently blocked by whitelist)
Any help appreciated!Comment

by federalhouseHi everyone,
I'm in need of assistance with a Dell Precision 5820 Tower. The BIOS is locked with "Dell Security Manager," preventing access to the HDD-1 hard drive.
**Background:**
I recently purchased this Dell Precision 5820 Tower from a recycler who salvages equipment from abandoned office spaces. The computer was left behind by its previous owner and was password locked. Given that it can run Windows 11, I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade my setup.
**What I've Tried So Far:**

by bmxlovahHi,
My Dell Precision T7910 died after enabling onboard SAS controller and applying RAID settings. There were no hardware changes between working and not working state, only setup (via bios -> controller settings). After applying settings and reboot PC turns on, flash leds (normally) but there's no further action, it just stays on with no graphics and no keyboard led's on. There's no Dell logo, nothing. I've tried resetting bios by jumper, replacing cpu's, replacing ram, removed/replaced cmos battery, disconnecting all drives etc. I've also dumped .bins from mobo chips SLI1 (16...-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by cozilyI bought a DELL Precision 3660 Tower Workstation from a second-hand seller. After bringing it home, I found out it was actually a testing unit. The BIOS cannot be upgraded (only the ME and PD2 sections are upgradable), and there are test messages displayed during boot, which really affects the user experience.
Upon inspecting the motherboard, I noticed that the BIOS is composed of two chips: one 8-pin 16MB chip and one 16-pin 32MB chip.
I acquired two new chips from another source containing the official BIOS version, but after installing them, I found that none of the...-
