Re: ASUS TP412UA BIOS Request / Help with UEFI Tool
Yep, was trying to work it out, and realised it was in there but where....it really is a black art!
Anyway, no schematic on this one. Thermal camera showed the RT6228A (K6=) getting hot, along with the EC. Still 3 ohms on the LDO after I took the EC and that IC off, and this is also continuous to another coil on the other side of the board near the DC jack. So to have a complete short from a LDO to another supply means some dead silicon, and likely hit by lightning or something. Another board bites the dust.Comment

by jbonavitaHi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...-

by lrouw84Hi there,
I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..
I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....-
