Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
@Vesko356 Thanks for the quick response.
I'm using an international US keyboard
I was able to unlock a 5510 easily with the password generated by the website https://beta.bios-pw.org/, but I could get into the BIOS with this 5510.
But the Precision 5520 is different, when I turn it on it already appears the message below.
Dell Security Manager
This computer system, #4XLKZF2-E7A8, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password. Please type the system or administrator password.
Do you think it's the same BIOS password or is it something else?
Tried the keys below to no avail.

Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
Your machine is equipped with Nordic Multi-Language Keyboard,
the password must be typed with US layout keyboard, try with the external USB keyboard with US layout. After entering the password confirm with Ctrl + Enter Enter.

Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
I'm sorry...
Hello everybody.
I have a Precision 5520 - 4XLKZF2-E7A8 asking for a password as soon as I turn on the "Dell Security Manager" equipment.
I tried both keys from the https://beta.bios-pw.org/ site without success.

Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
Must be typed in US keyboard layout ( your laptop keyboard is French AZERTY), so just use external US layout one, and the password is case-sensitive of course.Leave a comment:

Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
It won't work if you type that in lower case, i was making that mistake, then i thought let me give it a try in upper case & it worked instantly.
PS: I used UK keyboard, conclusion is it doesn't matter which keyboard you use as long as you type it correctly...Leave a comment:

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by bmxlovahHi,
My Dell Precision T7910 died after enabling onboard SAS controller and applying RAID settings. There were no hardware changes between working and not working state, only setup (via bios -> controller settings). After applying settings and reboot PC turns on, flash leds (normally) but there's no further action, it just stays on with no graphics and no keyboard led's on. There's no Dell logo, nothing. I've tried resetting bios by jumper, replacing cpu's, replacing ram, removed/replaced cmos battery, disconnecting all drives etc. I've also dumped .bins from mobo chips SLI1 (16...-

by cozilyI bought a DELL Precision 3660 Tower Workstation from a second-hand seller. After bringing it home, I found out it was actually a testing unit. The BIOS cannot be upgraded (only the ME and PD2 sections are upgradable), and there are test messages displayed during boot, which really affects the user experience.
Upon inspecting the motherboard, I noticed that the BIOS is composed of two chips: one 8-pin 16MB chip and one 16-pin 32MB chip.
I acquired two new chips from another source containing the official BIOS version, but after installing them, I found that none of the...-
