Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
When I enter the system number in either https://bios-pw.org/ or https://beta.bios-pw.org/ the I don't get "Dell from serial number", just "Dell HDD Serial Number (old)".
Can you please help me with this?

Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
Sorry, I forgot to specify that a qwerty keyboard is connected to the USB port.
I found this password: Q0H3ZtCB6tHZKIWW
No error: 0 = zero
and I've respected upper and lower case.Leave a comment:

Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
The password must be typed with US layout keyboard, try with the external USB keyboard with US layout. After entering the password confirm with Ctrl + Enter Enter.

3. Password removal by laptop brand
DISCLAIMER: badcaps.net and its members do no support unlocking stolen or company-owned devices. The information given here is for personal use only, ie. you accidentally set a password on your own machine, you forgot the password you set a long time ago or you mistyped the password when setting it and cannot get in again.
Note that a device bought locked might also have been stolen if the previous owner cannot give the correct password. This is especially common with business-grade equipment (Lenovo ThinkPad…) that employees sneak out or do not return.Leave a comment:

Re: Dell Precision 5520 bios password
Is it possible to change the service tag? I bought a Precision 5520 which is tied to another corporation, and you can't log in to yours.

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by bmxlovahHi,
My Dell Precision T7910 died after enabling onboard SAS controller and applying RAID settings. There were no hardware changes between working and not working state, only setup (via bios -> controller settings). After applying settings and reboot PC turns on, flash leds (normally) but there's no further action, it just stays on with no graphics and no keyboard led's on. There's no Dell logo, nothing. I've tried resetting bios by jumper, replacing cpu's, replacing ram, removed/replaced cmos battery, disconnecting all drives etc. I've also dumped .bins from mobo chips SLI1 (16...-

by cozilyI bought a DELL Precision 3660 Tower Workstation from a second-hand seller. After bringing it home, I found out it was actually a testing unit. The BIOS cannot be upgraded (only the ME and PD2 sections are upgradable), and there are test messages displayed during boot, which really affects the user experience.
Upon inspecting the motherboard, I noticed that the BIOS is composed of two chips: one 8-pin 16MB chip and one 16-pin 32MB chip.
I acquired two new chips from another source containing the official BIOS version, but after installing them, I found that none of the...-
