I'm not a super pro like some here, when it comes to firmware. I have a machine with the following specs:
ENVY X360

SN: CND2261KS3
Prod: 698V0UA
Board: LA-M021P Rev 1A
Chip# Winbond 25R128JVSN
Basically, when I power it up, I get no video, and the fans run hard - nothing else. Seems like a BIOS issue to me, so I posted a request in the BIOS request section. I haven't heard anything back(and that's fine) So I tried downloading the BIOS from HP, then I extracted it and flashed it onto the chip. Problem
This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached.... -

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries... -
