Hello, does the code shown on the picture keeps changing on every reboot? I did check part of the code in order to calculate a matching password.
Can you record a short video starting from the point you power-on computer, until you press the [CONTINUE] option on the picture? I will like to see all the messages.
Ok, so the code must be changing every 3 incorrect passwords, do the password typing again until you get a new code, take a picture and upload it here, wait for the password.
What happens if you click CONTINUE after it shows the Setup Notice code? does it allow you to type the password that will match the code? I'm thinking that if a password is to be generated for a particular code, that it may be only valid while there, meaning that if you cycle power the computer, (the password) it may no longer be valid.

thats the picture after 3 incorrect password attempts
So I guess there's no way to generate the password from the "Setup Notice" code for a later use, meaning that the laptop needs to remain powered-on waiting for the matching password to unlock it.
Could you upload a picture that follows that "Setup Notice" screen (after pressing CONTINUE)?

Surely I can, I just want to prevent a waste of time if the code will be changing.
Did you read my last request? To provide a picture of the screen that follows that "Setup Notice" screen (after pressing CONTINUE).
I have written a little C program to make it easier, as I was previously calculating the passwords literally by hand, as it's a simple algorithm found in this ECS laptop/netbook and also on an HP ClassMate.
If you can post a picture of a new code and keep computer powered-on I will be back in about 10 hours, so check the time of this post and add 10 hours.
I will also appreciate if you can upload a picture that follows the SETUP NOTICE screen with code.

There's probably a misunderstanding as to how I intended to do it, but I'm currently Online.
Remember to send me a picture of the screen that follows the Setup Notice [CONTINUE] screen.

here are the screens for the code after 3 wrong password attempts and the screen which follows when i click on "continue"
Do you still have the C program that you wrote for the ECS bios? I have a few of them that are from one of my local schools and we are trying to reload them to give them back to some of the students.

Hello, at our school, on one laptop, they put a boot password in the bios (ECS EH20GM laptop) with three unsuccessful password entry attempts, it issues a SETUP NOTICE request with a key, the key changes. Could you give a link where the bios password generation mechanism is described, or describe the generation algorithm, I would try to generate a key. Thanks
