    Re: Dell Latitude 5500 Bios

    Hello,
Thanks Peste (Multumesc frumos!) but I can't test this since after soldering back the WSON, the PC don't start anymore, a yellow amber light light on when I press power button.
I disconnected the power and battery, hold 30 seconds the power button, then reconnect battery. Still same result.
Is it possible that the circut to have some protection on read and break a "fuse" so that if someone try to read it it blow up ?

remove the bios chips from the motherboard again, rewrite the 16MB one with what I posted, and the 8MB one with the original laptop ... solder the chips back ..

So for unlock I do need to read both chips the big W25Q128 and the smaller one W25Q64?
Because reading the smaller one is kinda hard for me, the clipper from CH341A aint working on it so I guess I have to solder it, or are there any other options?

                here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVX-Q8T8lKY
guy fixes dell 5400 bios by flashing clean bios dump on only one of the chips. so maybe you do not need to mess with the smaller one.

                                            Hello,

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

                                            I tried :

-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...

I have a problem with my Dell Latitude E5550 laptop, in particular with its display.
This laptop has been sat under my desk (unused) for quite a while and I wanted to reinstall Windows and use it for some ad-hoc testing.
However, I am struggling with the display, which is playing up.

                                            1) When the laptop is left switched off, after switching it back on the internal LCD does not work. No images are displayed at all - no DELL logo on POST, no messages, no Windows desktop. But I can hear that Windows starts up correctly, so no issues with the rest of the system - must be...

                                            Hello,
I have a Dell Latitude 5420 stuck on the Dell Security Manager message on startup, I can't do anything.
Here is my BIOS and what I assume is ME (32MB for BIOS and 1MB for ME).
If someone could remove my BIOS password for me so I can reflash it afterwards.
                                            It's an 8FC8.
                                            ST/SN: JSJW5D3
                                            Thanks.
