I don't have it here as I am on vacation now. Try finding one online... there are multiple posts of people asking for unlock and providing their dumps. Just pick one that is bit older and run a patch on it, then write it to your chip and boot the pc. After that remember to restore the original dump back!

I am guessing that the autopatcher does not work anymore on newest BIOS revisions as mine is version 1.79 from late 2024 - the latest one. But it did work on older ones, so the version from 2018 worked.

I did exactly the same on my T470 and it DID NOT WORK! I got the black screen and a musical melody played! I flashed the original BIOS back and now it is booting again but still LOCKED! What I need to change? I followed the instructions by the letter!

I can't seem to get the patched BIOS to work.
    I'm working on a Thinkpad T480.
    S/N: PF1HZZPP (on sticker on case), System-unit S/N in BIOS is PF1LEPXM
    Motherboard: NM-B501
    BIOS Chip: Winbond 25Q128JVSQ

I selected the W25Q128JV chip type in AsProgrammer.
Downloaded the BIOS x 2, compared hash values and it was good.
    Applied the patch.
After flashing the patched BIOS I just get the loud musical tune and a black screen. Never any words appearing.
Re-flashing the original BIOS makes it work again, but it still has the BIOS password (as expected as I never did apply a successful patched BIOS).
Any ideas? I had updated to the newest BIOS from Lenovo for the T480 before going through this. Could that be the issue? My BIOS version is: 1.55.
I've attached my original BIOS and the patched versions.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Try with UC3 (near WWAN1 connector) and if it's W25Q128FWSIQ then it works with 1.8V

I tried using the patched but after programming the chip. Laptop did not turn ON and when i connect charger. Power button flash 3 times and then nothing happens. I programmed back the original file but it showing the same symptoms.
I removed the chip from the motherboard.

I suggest you remove the battery, unplug the button battery, wait a minute, and then plug the button battery and main battery back. Now you should be able to post. That's how I solve similar situation today.

I have a T480s running Windows 11, everything is working, but the BIOS is locked. So I purchased a CH341A programmer, read the chip 3 times to make sure it's right, and then patched it with the auto-patch tool. Unfortunately, the laptop refused to boot and played a melody. I had to write the original bin into the chip; otherwise, I can not use my laptop.
Would like to know why and how to patch it properly, files provided.

    🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
    by macabook
    Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
    🧩 Initial Issue
    • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
    • External display (HDMI) shows

    ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
    by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
    Some issues
    A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

    Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
    by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
    by Wahaz
    Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....
