    Asus TP203n bios fix

    Good day everyone.

    I'm having issues with this laptop Asus Tp203n which cannot detect hard drive after bios flash.

    Laptop's 1st issue was no power but all voltage are present, so I decided to flash bios that I've obtain thru other website. After flash, laptop come alive and bios option was displayed, but it does not recognize internal hard drive although its ok. And I also notice that serial number and mac address is blank. So I knew that bios file needs to be repaired. But obviously I have no knowledge to do that. Can someone please take a look into my original bios file or fix it if possible. I will attach working bios from other site and original broken bios file. Thanks veryone.

          Yeah, sorry for that. For some reason my rar file won't upload. Keeps disconnecting. I'm having some issues, its says cannot reach badcaps website, ERR_SPDY_PROTOCOL_ERROR. what does this mean? I'll keep trying though.

                      Thanks peste, you're bios made laptop boot to hard drive. I also downloaded same file on Asus site but I guess there's something needed to be removed in other for it to work. Coz the size is different from yours.

                      Now is there a way to edit mac address because its missing on the bios menu. Thanks again.

                          The bios from asus has a 2KB header that needs deleting with a hex editor. 0-799h


                          Try this bios + DMI.

                              Thanks very much SMDFlea, everything worked perfectly now. I couldn't reply yesterday because one of my networked pc had malware on it, draining internet speed. That's why upload speed is interrupted. Anyway, I have inserted mac address now and laptop can connect to internet. Thanks again and cheers to everybody!

                                          Hello everybody!

                                          To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

                                          The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

                                          Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

                                          Hello all, so basically I have a bricked GL702V with no power except a single LED flash on the power button when it is pressed. Customer had tried to flash his bios with a USB and the GL702VM310 version of this laptop's bios. I've been scouring the web for a correct version of his bios but all the ones on the ASUS website are for GL702VM, GL702VT, GL702VS, or GL702VI with versions varying from 300-310. This specific laptop has nothing other than just the GL702V so I don't know which bios is compatible with it. I was planning on programming it with the CH341A programmer as soon as I found the correct...

                                          I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

                                          I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

                                          The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

                                          Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...
