Running slow, with SMC bypass works fine:
It has a NVME SSD Crucial P2 (1TB), tried another NVME adapter too.
- No water indicators tripped
- Sensors using iStat /HW show sensible values, only airport showing 129 degree (which is common) since we don't have ASD for this year board.
I have removed and dumped the EFI/BIOS:
- does cleaning the ME Region make sense?
Side notes
1) I do not have the original nor compatible SSD to test with
2) battery is showing service... -
by iMuhtasebboard came in cleaned up from a previous technician.. after examining the board visually I've seen some work done on the EFI/firmware..
I've taken the chip out and it reads ok on Mac EFI Toolkit, I can read the SN and other information normally..

I've taken some measurements:
PPBUS 12.6
PP5V_S5 present
PP3v3_S5 present

by duwaneHi all. I hope someone has come across something similar, as I am baffled.
I have a faulty logic board from a 2015 A1502 Macbook Pro Retina (820-4924-A). Some signs of liquid, but all corrosion cleaned, and several components refloated or replaced to eliminate any visually corroded areas of the board.
Machine boots fine now, but the keyboard and trackpad do not work at all when booting normally into Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey. At the login screen, the cursor does not move at all when moving on the trackpad, and no keys on the keyboard respond on screen, however... -

by backesHello,
My macbook pro froze, and now I get the folder with question mark symbol. In the recovery mode the SSD can't be found in the disk utils. I then used a Linux USB stick to try to mount the SSD and it wasn't present in `lsblk` . Which led me to the conclusion that the SSD itself is broken. I then gave it to apple support and they say that the SSD is dead and wanted to replace it for around 400€. I declined this "repair".
Then I bought a new SSD from amazon for 70€, however also this one doesn't work and can't be found in disk utils in the recovery... - Loading...
