Hey, can you please forward me the bios file for the named laptop, without a UEFI password on? I'm unsuccessfully trying to reflash the bios on the chip.
SN: 02433549355
Model is 1769. I'd prefer not replacing the bios chip if possible.Comment

by BenassHey everyone,
I'm having an issue with my Surface Laptop 3, and I could really use some help. I've tried everything I can think of, but my laptop just won't detect any new SSDs I install. Here's a rundown of the situation:
Problem:- My Surface Laptop 3 isn't detecting any new SSDs, including a Sabrent Rocket 2230 256GB NVMe SSD and a Dogfish 256GB M.2 2230 NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 SSD.
- Both SSDs work fine in other laptops, so I know they are functional.
- The laptop does detect a Forsee 64GB SSD from my Steam Deck, and I can successfully install Windows on it.

by User2025Hi,
I am working on a Surface Laptop GO 3, which is the new release 2024 with a i5-1230U processor. Originally, it had a 256GB SSD, then the owner attempted to upgrade it to 1TB SSD by himself. "Surprisingly", it did not boot afterwards, then changed back to the original SSD, did not boot either.
It turned out to be that just a couple of components had been knocked off when the owner was trying to get off the SSD cover with his beloved screw driver.
I do not have another board of same model. Although I have a Laptop Go 2, the layout of that bit...04-29-2025, 04:13 PM -
by yomama07032I have a Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 (1868) - 13.5 inch. It is the version with the i5, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB SSD. I believe the motherboard number is M1098028-008. It has been dead for a year and a half. I tried everything that is suggested on Microsoft's support website. I have the original power supply, and the white light on the power supply's connector turns on and stays on when it is connected to the laptop. Nothing happens when I try to turn on the laptop. The caps lock key's light does not turn on. There is absolutely no sign of life. I have also tried charging the laptop using the USB-C...11-01-2024, 05:25 PM

by gurj1979Hey guys,
I've got a Surface Laptop 1769 (the nasty cloth type palmrest) which has a failed 512GB Samsung PM971 (KUS040202M-B000).
These are on BGA291, but I don't know which is equivalent to KUS040202M-B000.
AliExpress has this but it's expensive.
Can anyone help me find a reasonably prices equivalent which I can use as a replacement ?
Or which NVMe can I remove it from ?02-17-2025, 04:02 PM - Loading...
