Please help to identify the components on Surface Laptop GO3, model 2013, i5-1230U

    Hi,

I am working on a Surface Laptop GO 3, which is the new release 2024 with a i5-1230U processor. Originally, it had a 256GB SSD, then the owner attempted to upgrade it to 1TB SSD by himself. "Surprisingly", it did not boot afterwards, then changed back to the original SSD, did not boot either.

It turned out to be that just a couple of components had been knocked off when the owner was trying to get off the SSD cover with his beloved screw driver.

I do not have another board of same model. Although I have a Laptop Go 2, the layout of that bit is quite different. I will be very grateful, if someone could help me identify the components and their values. I have put two pictures from internet and the picture of the actual laptop missing components in the attachment.

The missing components are in the gap between the SSD slot and the WiFi card, below a 5-legged IC. The one just below the 5-legged IC should be a filter capacitor, it should not matter too much if I just replace it with a similar capacitor. The resister components further below, I really need their values to get it work.

    Many thanks.

Looking for Surface Go 3 UEFI / BIOS dump
    Tablet Hello everyone,
I’m looking for the original UEFI / BIOS firmware dump for Microsoft Surface Go 3.
My device no longer boots — it only shows the logo for one second and turns off.
I need the full SPI dump (.bin or .cap) file (around 8 MB or 16 MB) to reprogram the chip manually.

If anyone has a working backup or a full dump from a functional Surface Go 3 (any version of the 16.106.143 firmware or later), please share it or contact me.

Thanks in advance for your help — this would really save my device!

Post the same request inside the dedicated bios sub-forum. Someone there will be be able to assist. Posting here may cause SMDFlea to break into your home and steal your halloween candy.
