Isn't this info stored on the EEPROM or somewhere else. Have I done something wrong or it going with the Serial # written onto the BIOS. Can someone kindly check what wrong am I doing as the school info is not erasing. Thanks in advance. MacBoook Air A1466 Serial # FVFWMZNBJ1WK EMC 3178 Logic Board # 820-00165-A

This machine is an A1466 EMC3178 (it has Big Sur, so maybe the firmware was updated in the process of Big Sur installation, because the original EMC was EMC2678). I'll go to update here the bin file which is (suposedly) giving me this error, so I beg your help. TIA for your always invaluable help.
The machine data is:
MacBook Air A1466 SN is: FVHYHWZAJ1WK.You can also read in the back cover EMC3178. The MoBo is 820-00165-A.
It must be the latest batch, because it has Big Sur installed without tricks. It has 8Gb RAM, and only 120Gb SSD (I'm going to change it, amongst other things, like the startup delay problem...annoying!).
EDIT: This happens even without internal SSD. Even when you reset NVRAM; the time between chimes is veeeery looong. The curious thing is that, once started, the machine works like a charm (well...with Big Sur...I don't like it, but it works normally). I was thinking about the SMC reset signal, which can be "delayed" by any reason. But all signals in the scope appears well, compared to an older, working normally board (older, of course).Attached Files
