    Hi ,

I believe it is the latest , but I'm not really sure.Anyway it worked for me.
Also I will attach some pictures - printscreens.
You can download the software for free.

Furthermore it doesn't make a great difference if you choose the serial driver setup- you will get the same installation files
That is as far as I could see.

When you connect 341 to your pc the power led will lit.It means that it gets the 5 Volts.
In the lower right corner of the flash program screen you will see : connected

This does not mean , that it has seen a bios chip. When you put a bios chip , the other led (RUN) will lite up.
The software has noticed the chip. When you press the "detect" button , the Run led will blink 1 time and continues to lite up.

If it has detected the right brand and model chip , you should be good to go.
When reading/writing or erasing , the run led will blink with a certain speed.

Of course , first you should run the setup_exe to install the usb driver files.
Then you can run the reprogram software - 341A_exe

    I have Win 7 Ultimate 32 bits

    HTH

Like I said , it is not working when you use a clip and cable.Better to take the chip off the board.

I also dld the software update.I have for the SETUP_EXE version 1.5.3.0
and for the CH341A_EXE version 1.18.0.0

I had no problems to reprogram the chip - and the software did detect the chip.
Also R/W was no problem -

And I had no problems with flashing the chip - everything went well ...
Just take care to put the chip in the correct position and in the right place in the zif socket.

If it recognizes the chip it should be fine ..
    yes i am sure..
1.Before mod my programmer can r/w but not all chip, especially 3.3v chip.
2.The meaning 5v fix are ch341a running at 5v, so checked pin28 ch341a..for SPI mode ch341a chip should be 3.3v...,
2.Now after mod my ch341a cannot r/w properly for I2C(5v) ...but for I2C(3.3v) r/w with properly...

    Re: Problem with CH341A

    @TATA ,

Sometimes it is easier to desolder the chip with a hot air station.Put some solid flux on the contacts or pre-solder the contacts with some 60/40 solder (this contains more lead)

It is a bit difficult to desolder these small chips with a soldering iron. The leadfree solder is not melting so well ... so you have chance to damage the chip (too much heat)

When you have the chip off the MB you don't really need the crocodile clip and cable.

You can solder the chip onto the 341A unit on the underside - take very good care of where the dot on the chip must go !!!!

The dot indicates Pin number 1 from the chip.I used the socket that I bought from Ali :

You can also use this :

You cannot use the clip with the cable , and leave the chip soldered onto the MB ...
The CH341A may fool you , that it is doing something , while in fact , the results are not good ....

At least that is what I have experienced ...

You can solder the chip on the small pcb that came with the 341A

    Good luck

Hello, I'm having the same issue. I'm new in everything. I dumped the Bios of a Lenovo x1 carbon and when I write it back and verify it, it tells me that there's an inconsistency. How does the unsolder the chip work? Do I need to desolder it and then write and verify the BIOS with the alligator's clip? Or I need to do it in another way? thanks in andavance!

Its the CH341A software thats at fault. You can find different software versions in this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=47246 ,or you can try flashrom on windows
    https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/gu...rammer/32948/3

EDIT: don`t bother trying to use a sop8 clip with the CH341A they don`t work properly , desolder the bios.

thus, the programmer is probably under guarantee and you should contact the guarantee center. Either the programmer is faulty or you do the programmings in a wrong way.

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
    by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

M715q Desktop (ThinkCentre) - Type 10M3 - Request bios chip location and useable bios for use with CH341A Programmer.
    by hotcrossedbuns999
My pc updated bios through Windows Update and I was greeted with BLACK SCREEN WITH CPU FAN MAX SPEED. I don't think there is even a screen signal, because it triggers my monitor for a couple seconds and then the monitor turns off. I tried the other outputs as well.
    1. I tried clearing bios, resetting bios, removed the CMOS battery, removed m.2 ssd, wifi, and ram. Still black screen with CPU fan blasting.
    2. I tried using the Lenovo BIOS CD and BIOS USB, but neither worked. At least I couldn't get anything to work.
    3. I could only locate two chips that look like bios chips. Could someone verify this

Problem Flashing Macronix MX25L6445E BIOS Chip with CH341A and EZP2019+ on ASUS X455LD
    by pengamat_hebat
    Hello everyone,

I'm trying to flash the BIOS chip Macronix MX25L6445E from my ASUS X455LD laptop using both a CH341A and an EZP2019+ programmer, but I keep encountering issues.

Reading the chip works perfectly, and I can extract the BIOS dump without any problems.

However, erasing and writing fail every time, regardless of the software I use. (Neo, asprog, ch341, etc)

I also tried applying 3.3V to pin 3, but it still didn't work.

I attempted to unprotect the chip, but when I read it back, the registers remained unchanged.

    Problem with Dell pp35l bios
    by Matias1997caba
Hello everyone! I'm having a problem with the BIOS of a Dell PP35L motherboard (DA0RM5MB8E0 Rev:E Y509R Rev:A00). It powers on, beeps 5 times, then 6 times, but there's no display. The problem is that it has two 16MB BIOS files, and all the ones I found online are 1MB and 4MB. I flashed them anyway, but with those BIOS files, the fan doesn't even turn on. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've attached the BIOS files. Model: Dell PP35L.. Mother DA0RM5MB8E0 Rev:E Y509R Rev:A00. Service Tag: GRZR9M1...

The laptop was working fine, the only problem was that when I turned it on, the screen was hard to turn on, it would wait for about 30-40 seconds before an image appeared on the screen.
Initially, I updated from windows to Intel Management Engine 11.8 Firmware, restarted, everything was fine.
Then I updated the bios, also from windows, to the last vs, vs 46. It restarted, those lines with bios update progress appeared, restarted and that's it, since then...
